Write an Imagist Poem Step 1

Describe something without naming it explicitly. Pick an everyday object from around the house,

such as a dryer or an iron. Now list some things that it reminds you of or

that it could be like.

Imagist Poem Now all you have to do is write 8-12 lines to

describe your object

Your lines could rhyme AA BB or your poem might rhyme only two lines or perhaps not rhyme at all.

Read the poem you were just passed

Draw a picture of that poem

Write a new poem from the picture you just received
