This Grand Federation Bungalow has undergone a major transformation into a contemporary family home. Restoring the original features of the original residence, and then opening up the back with a contemporary two-storey addition.

Home Construct was engaged to manage the construction from end to end. There was no supervising Architect, and Home Construct worked closely with the Client to optimise the design and modify construction methods to fit within their budget. Also managing the design and selection of finishes and fittings, consulting with the original Architect as required.

The big challenge for Home Construct was to pull apart the various renovations that had occurred over 80 yrs and seamlessly mesh this to the new addition. Balancing traditional restoration skills with modern, high end, contemporary methods and finishes.

• Accommodation - 5 bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms + powder room, 2 car garage, and large storage

• Living areas - large living room, separate Dining area and eat in Kitchen, rumpus room, reading room, sewing room and lower ground floor man cave. Two Large outdoor terraces and separate BBQ area.

• Services – Pool with automated in floor cleaning, C-Bus Home Automation, Audio Visual, Air-conditioning, ducted heating, Security, bladder Water tanks, solar pool heating, electric blinds, Energy efficient lighting and Irrigation system

• Finishes – New Tallowwood floors, Large format Limestone tiles, Precast concrete slabs to Kitchens and living areas, Custom timber veneer joinery. Corian Kitchen surfaces. Sandstone Cladding.
