La storia della Cresci Rimorchi viene da lontano. Nel 1961 i fratelli Cresci aprono una semplice carrozzeria per riparazione veicoli. Poi, nel 1978, inizia la costruzione dei primi rimorchi. Inventiva artigianale e duro lavoro portano subito frutti: la produzione cresce esponenzialmente, mentre si moltiplicano i modelli e la rete vendite si amplia a livello nazionale.

Oggi, dopo quasi quarant'anni di continuo sviluppo, con una sede di oltre 20.000 mq, l'azienda e' leader in Italia nella produzione di rimorchi, con il 30% del mercato interno e una proiezione su quello europeo in costante crescita.

Cio' che e' rimasto identico in tutti questi anni, in una gamma di prodotti che spazia dal trasporto di cose a quello di animali, passando per auto, moto e imbarcazioni, e' la ricerca meticolosa della qualita' del prodotto finito, vero asso nella manica nella sempre piu' stringente competizione globale.

The story of Cresci Rimorchi goes back a long away. In 1961, the Cresci brothers opened a simple body shop for vehicles repair. Then, in 1978, they started with the construction of the first trailers. Craft creativity and hard work brought immediate results: the production grows exponentially, their models multiply and sales network expands at national level.

Today, after almost forty years of continuous development, with a factory of more than 20,000 square meters, the company is leader in Italy in the production of trailers, with 30% of the domestic market and a constantly growing projection on the European market.

Their meticulous research on the quality of the finished product -ranging from animals transport, car, motorbike and boat transport- has remained the same over the years as a real distinctive sign in global competition.

Per questo Cresci Rimorchi e' sempre stata attenta a dotarsi delle piu' moderne tecnologie industriali. E per questo nel 2016 ha scelto Bystronic per migliorare ulteriormente le proprie prestazioni produttive in fase di piegatura, passaggio decisivo per la costruzione di rimorchi di qualita'. Ne parliamo, a quasi un anno di distanza, con Paolo Cresci, uno dei titolari dell'azienda.

Paolo, avete recentemente ampliato e rinnovato il vostro parco macchine con una piegatrice Bystronic, la nuova Xpert 100/3100. Quali motivi vi hanno spinto a questa scelta?A parte l'ottimo rapporto qualita'/prezzo della Xpert,ci hanno convinto le prestazioni effettive della macchina: precisione e velocita' di piega innanzitutto, insieme alla sua estrema versatilita' d'uso.

For this reason, Cresci Rimorchi has always been mindful of the latest industrial technologies. So in 2016 Cresci chose Bystronic to further improve their production performance during bending phase, a crucial step for the manufacture of quality trailers. We talk to Mr. Paolo Cresci, one of the company owners, almost a year later.

Mr. Paolo, you have recently expanded and renewed your machinery with a Bystronic press brake, the new Xpert 100/3100. What reasons led you to this choice? Besides the excellent value for money, we were convinced by the actual performances of the machine: first of all, precision and work speed, together with extreme versatility of use.

Spiegaci meglio.I nostri rimorchi oggi sono quasi interamente assemblati a partire da componenti in lamiera zincata pressopiegata: la saldatura e' praticamente residuale. In piu', continuando la tradizione artigianale che ci ha portati fin qua, 'reinventiamo' costantemente i nostri rimorchi, ridisegnando componenti e riprogettandoli sempre di nuovo,rispettando le norme vigenti, per offrire ai nostri clienti semplicita' d'uso e sicurezza del prodotto finito e' in una parola grande qualita'. Ma questo richiede appunto un'estrema precisione nei processi di piega, per evitare difetti, scollature, imprecisioni in fase di assemblaggio - ripeto, non c'e' quasi piu' saldatura nei nostri rimorchi. La perfetta precisione di piega e' il primo grande vantaggio produttivo che la Xpert ci ha effettivamente garantito in questo anno di lavoro.

Tell us better.Our trailers are almost entirely assembled from galvanized sheet metal components: the welding is almost residual. Besides, following the craft tradition that has brought us here, we update our trailers by redrawing them and all the components, in accordance with existing standards, in order to offer our customers an ease of use and safety products - in one word: great quality. But this really requires extreme accuracy in folding processes, to avoid defects and inaccuracies during assembly phase - I repeat there is almost no welding in our trailers. The perfect bending precision is the first great production advantage that Xpert 100/3100 has actually guaranteed us during last year work.

La Xpert e' dotata della tecnologia PR (Pressure-Reference) con centinatura dinamica completamente automatica: con questo sistema Bystronic puo' di fatto vantare risultati di piegatura perfetti, offrendo la massima ripetibilita' della piega voluta. Ci puoi raccontare come funziona dal punto di vista di chi ci lavora? In parole povere: una volta dato il campione di piega, la macchina ripete la piega adattandosi allo spessore effettivo del foglio di lamiera, variando la pressione durante tutto il processo di piegatura, tenendo conto della geometria reale del pezzo (tagli, bordi, asole...). Il tutto in modo completamente automatico. Questo velocizza e semplifica molto il lavoro dell'operatore. Anche la rapidita' dell'attrezzaggio della Xpert ci aiuta: siamo un'azienda tutto sommato piccola, le consegne sono serrate, dobbiamo essere molto flessibili nel passare da un lotto di piega all'altro cambiamo attrezzaggio anche quattro volte in un'ora! In questo senso la Xpert e' molto versatile e semplice da usare anche per operatori non esperti. I tempi morti per l'attrezzaggio della macchina sono praticamente annullati.

Precisione, velocita', versatilita', semplicita' d'uso sono insomma le qualita' piu' apprezzabili della Xpert Bystronic nell'esperienza della Cresci Rimorchi. Certamente.

The Xpert is equipped with PR technology (Pressure-Reference) with fully automatic, dynamic crowning: this Bystronic system can have perfect bending results, offering the highest repetition accuracy of the desired bend. Can you tell us how does it work from the point of view of the operator? In other words: once he gave the bend sample, the machine repeats the bend adapting to the actual thickness of the sheet metal, varying the pressure throughout the bending process, taking into account the real geometry of the piece (cuts, edges, slots ... ). All in a completely automatic way. It speeds up and simplifies the work of the operator. Even the speed of the Xpert equipment helps us: we are a small company and deliveries are very important, we have to be very flexible in switching from one bend to another... we even change equipment four times in an hour! In this regard, Xpert is very manageable and easy to use even for non-expert operators. Downtimes for the machine setup are practically cancelled.

Accuracy, speed, versatility and ease of use are then the most appreciated qualities of Bystronic Xpert in the experience of Cresci Rimorchi.Certainly.

La Xpert 100/3100 monta il nuovo controllo ByVision Bending, con un display touch screen da 22 pollici full HD, elettronica ByMotion, e sistema di sicurezza operatore Fast Bend G2. In sintesi: tantissima tecnologia a bordo macchina. Cosa ne pensi?Che anche tutto cio' va in direzione di velocizzare e semplificare il lavoro, per di piu' in totale sicurezza. Il sistema touch e' davvero intuitivo, facile da usare, anche per i piu' inesperti: in sostanza disegni il pezzo col dito sullo schermo e parti! Cio' significa, alla fin fine, risparmiare tempo e denaro. A questo proposito sottolineo volentieri anche l'importanza dell'assistenza tecnica da remoto e del servizio post-vendita di Bystronic, che alla lunga sono fattori importanti non meno della qualita' della macchina stessa. Ricevere diagnosi in tempo reale, via internet, senza dover aspettare l'invio di un tecnico; poter risolvere molti problemi direttamente con i nostri operatori seguendo le istruzioni di Bystronic; non dover restare giorni con la macchina inutilizzabile: sono tutti vantaggi che un'azienda come la nostra apprezza moltissimo. Penso che l'assistenza post-vendita di Bystronic sia proprio parte del suo core business, accanto alla costruzione di macchine. E penso sia una scelta giusta: il post-vendita, l'attenzione al cliente sono aspetti centrali anche per noi, nei confronti di chi acquista i nostri rimorchi.

Un'ultima domanda, Paolo. Quali prospettive future per la collaborazione appena cominciata tra Cresci Rimorchi e Bystronic?Sono quasi quarant'anni che costruiamo rimorchi e vogliamo continuare a farlo al meglio. Posso senz'altro dire che dal livello di performance produttive e di qualita' di lavoro della Xpert Bystronic non torneremo piu' indietro.

The Xpert 100/3100 is equipped with the new ByVision Bending control, featuring a full HD 22-inch touch screen, ByMotion electronics, and Fast Bend G2 operator safety system. In summary: a lot of on-board technology. What do you think about it?I think that these technologies speed up and simplify the work process, in total safety. The touch screen control is really intuitive, easy to use, even for beginners: you basically draw the piece with your finger on the screen and you can start! This means that we can save more time and money. In this regard, I would like to emphasize the importance of remote technical support and Bystronic s after-sales service, which are very important factors as the quality of the machine itself. Our company greatly appreciates the advantage of receiving a real-time diagnostic via internet, without having to wait for a technician; we can directly solve many problems with our operators by following Bystronic's instructions; we don't have to stay for many days with the machine out of work. I think Bystronic s after-sales service is just part of its core business, next to manufacturing machines. And I think it's a right choice: after-sales service and customer attention are also central for us, to satisfy who buys our trailers.

Last question Mr. Paolo. Which are future prospects for the new cooperation started between Cresci Rimorchi and Bystronic?We have been building trailers for almost forty years and we want to continue doing it at best. I can certainly say that we will not go back from Bystronic Xpert s production performance and quality of work.
