Prevention Safety
Creates a safer WA
• Crime Stoppers is Australia’s most recognised reporting service providing anonymity
• 30% would not contact anyone if Crime Stoppers di not exist
• The assurance of anonymity and confidentiality removes the fear of retaliation
• Crime stoppers returns $11.15 to community for every dollar invested
Why do people use
Crime Stoppers?
It takes a great deal of courage for any employee to pass information or highlight their concerns about malpractice, mismanagement or misconduct occurring within their organization.
Employees place a far greater degree of trust in a whistleblowing system that is completely independent from their organization and
recent interviews suggest that employees feel more comfortable contacting a third party, than using internal reporting mechanisms
Public Response
• For every $1 invested in Crime Stoppers the community receives a $11 return in relation to drugs seized, property recovered, investigation productivity savings and reduced fear of crime.
