Incident: Assault 1 st (Shooting)Location: 8800 block of N. BroadwayDate/ Time: 7/04/13 @ 01:30-02:00Victim: 33-year old black maleSuspect: UnknownThe victim stated that as he was driving, he pulled over to urinate and as he entered analley and exited his vehicle at the above location, he heard a loud sound nearby, which hethought was fireworks. At the time, he was unaware of any injury, so he drove home andwent to sleep. When he woke up in the morning, he discovered a gunshot wound to hisright leg and conveyed himself to a local hospital and was listed in serious/stablecondition. The investigation is ongoing.

Incident: Assault 1 st (Shooting)Location: 800 block of River Run Ct.Date/Time: 7/04/13 @ 11:20Victim #1: 22-year old black maleVictim #2: 17-year old white maleSuspect #1: black male, 28-33-years old, 57, 200 lbs, dreadlocks, grey t-shirtSuspect #2: black male, 22-25-years old, 57, 170-180 lbs, blue jacket, red t-shirtOfficers responded to a call for a shooting at the above address and upon arrival novictim was located; however, shortly after, officers were notified of a shooting victimfrom a local hospital. Victim #1 was listed in critical/stable condition and was unable tomake a statement. Victim #2 reported that him and Victim #1 reported to the aboveaddress to purchase narcotics from the suspects. When they arrived, the suspectsapproached their vehicle on foot and demanded their money and belongings and beganfiring shots into the victims vehicle. Victim #2 was uninjured. The investigation isongoing.

Incident: Assault 1 st (Shooting)Location: 4900 block of FarlinDate/Time: 7/04/13 @Victim: 36-year old black maleSuspect(s): unknownThe victim stated he was standing on the curb at the above address when two vehiclesdrove by and fired one gunshot, striking him in the right thigh. The vehicles then fledEast on Farlin and south on Euclid out of sight. The victim refused to provide additionalinformation and would not cooperate further with investigators. He was conveyed to alocal hospital and listed in serious/stable condition. Following the initial investigation,officers received a call for an auto accident in the 4100 block of North Grand. The driver of the vehicle reported being chased in his vehicle by two vehicles from the 4900 block of Farlin. He stated the occupants of the vehicle fired multiple gunshots at him, strikinghis vehicle. While fleeing from the suspects, he crashed into the building at 4100 North

Grand and fled on foot. He stated the vehicles did not follow him and left in an unknowndirection. The two incidents are believed to be linked. The investigation is ongoing.

Incident: Assault 1 st , Felony Resisting by Flight

Location: 3300 block of HamiltonDate/Time: 7/04/13 @ 23:40Victim #1: hite male security guard (leg injury)Victim #2: hite male security guardVictim #3: black male security guardVictim #4: 28-year old black male (in suspect vehicle, shot)Suspect(s): 2-3 additional unknown suspectsThree security guards were working in an apartment complex in the 3400 block of Hamilton when the suspects stopped their vehicle nearby and began firing fireworks atthe security guards. The security guards walked over to the suspects vehicle toinvestigate and when the suspect entered their vehicle to flee, Victim #1 was struck bythe suspect vehicle. The vehicle accelerated, attempting to throw the victim off thevehicle and in doing so, they struck a parked car. In fear of his life, Victim #1 fired hisgun into the windshield. The vehicle went down an embankment and the vehicle struck a building, throwing the guard off against the brick wall. An additional security guard firedhis weapon, trying to get the vehicle to stop. Victim #4, a passenger in the vehicle,suffered a gunshot wound to the face and was listed in serious/stable condition at a localhospital. The additional suspects fled from the vehicle and are at large. Victim #1 wasconveyed to a local hospital for an injury to leg and was listed in serious/stable condition.The investigation is ongoing.

Incident: Robbery 1 st , Assault 1 st (Shooting)Location: 4500 block of Elmbank Date/Time: 7/05/13 @ 00:25Victim: 19-year old black maleSuspect: 18-year old black maleThe victim and the suspect got into an argument while in a vehicle in front of the abovelocation. The suspect exited his vehicle, retrieved a firearm and then demanded moneyand belongings from the victim, to which he complied. The victim then exited the vehicleand was walking away when the suspect fired multiple shots at him. The victim wasstruck in both legs and was conveyed to a local hospital and listed in serious/stablecondition. The suspect was entered as wanted. The investigation is ongoing.
