    EXT. SCHOOL FIELD- DAY

A football sits quietly in the middle of a field. A whistleblows and the football is kicked.

A football match is being played on a poor condition pitch. Ateam wearing blue versus a team in red.

A small crowd of parents stand along the sidelines, clappingand cheering.

The teams are playing rough with each other, barging andslide tackles, both sides desperate for the ball. Most of theplayers are covered in dirt and grass stains.

A decrepit scoreboard displays Home 0, Visitors 1 with onlyten minutes to go.

DANNY, (16) is on the blue team wearing the captains armband. He is athletic and well built, a true leader on the pitch.

Danny orders his team about, pointing where he wantsteammates to move to and opposition they should mark.

The very muscled P.E. TEACHER (26) stands on the sidelinesencouraging the blue team.

P.E. TEACHERCome on, lads! You can do this, just keep the ball.

A loud booming voice screams angrily off camera.

CREEDY (O.S.)Push up! (beat) Tackle him!

The P.E. Teacher looks over at MR CREEDY, (45) who is veryanimated on the sideline. He is very tall and well built, anintimidating face with evil eyes. He is dressed in his suit

and a sheepskin coat, looking like a football manager fromthe 70s.

CREEDY (CONTD)Clear it! (beat) Now counter!

The two teams are going at each others throats, the ball backand forth exchanging possession.

The ball reaches Danny and he looks around to pass it, butall his teammates are marked.

He starts to dribble the ball toward the penalty area. He weaves around a couple of players and manages to slip through

    on goal.

The REFEREE blows his whistle and points to the spot. Theopposition try to protest, but the man with the whistle ishaving none of it sending them away.

Danny climbs to his feet and picks up the ball. He makes his way over to the spot and places the ball down.

We are now in the final seconds of the game, one last chanceto equalise.

The other two teams stand around waiting nervously. Dannytakes a few steps back and takes a deep breath.

    Creedy watches intently.

Silence falls around the pitch as Danny takes a few morebreaths, the goal keeper waving his arms on the line tryingto put him off.

Danny runs toward the ball everybody watches with baitedbreath. He swings his leg back ready to power the ball intothe back of the net...

...but Dannys other foot slips on the uneven ground and hetumbles backward. His right foot kicks the ball up and overthe crossbar. The goalkeeper watches it soar over.

The referee blows the whistle for the end of the game. Theother team cheer. Danny sits up and looks around dazed andconfused.

    CREEDY (CONTD)No!

Creedy stands at the sideline shocked and angry. The RIVALHEADMASTER approaches him smiling.

RIVAL HEADMASTERWell, Creedy. It seems my team won.If it makes it easier, I will takea cheque.
