Criminal Justice Clearinghouse
• Collection, verification, and analysis of crime data• Support local tasks forces and commissions• Produce 12 CJ Flashes and nine CJ Bulletins/In Briefs annually• Analyze data from only objective measure of drug use in nation
• Staff support for Public Safety Committee• Presentations to local groups on key issues• Prepare grant proposals in cooperation with local partners
(Bring in $4 for every $1 Clearinghouse funds)

Purpose of Clearinghouse Data
• Ability to work closely with ARJIS and track crime trends and changing measures of success
• Analysis of the only objective measure of drug use in the country
• Work with partners to objectively measure what is otherwise only known anecdotally
• Provide standardized regional information for planning purposes
• Responsive to needs for new information with changing policies
• Staff with background checks to conduct criminal justice evaluations and knowledge of local databases

• Continue to track crime and other statistics in light of legislative and other public safety changes
• Work with ARJIS in transitioning to NIBRS reporting• Seek grant funding to answer timely public safety questions• Provide relevant timely information to our stakeholders in
