How does your product use or challenge conventions?Most of our inspiration came directly from the Moana music video. Many of the shot angles and types in the

original were used in our video. For example, the ellipsis of time and several pans. Our video strayed from

the original in the sense that our video focused on two characters rather than one.

How does your product engage with audiences?The subject matter and techniques used, target little kids as the audience. We grabbed the viewers attention

by aligning the shots with the lyrics of the music and using short takes.

How would it be distributed as a real media text?The video would be distributed with Youtube in order to give the public easy access to the video. This

platform also will help spread popularity with the association of the actual Moana video being searched.

How did your production skills develop throughout the project?My skills went from a 0 to a 9. I learned how to take clips and music and make meaning out of it. I became

more advanced with my knowledge of filming and editing. I was introduced to Adobe Premiere Pro and

gained editing skills while using the program. I really gained a liking for editing because of this project. I

would definitely feel comfortable taking on a new project with this program.

How did you integrate techniques?

We used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit and an iPhone 7 to film. We used these due to ease and familiarity.
