TRASH SCULPTURE CONTEST Recycle, Recycle, Recycle! WIN some CASH!! Enter this year’s Trash Sculpture Contest, open to all kids ages K-12. Entries due November 19th at the schools, judging is Nov. 22nd Homeschool member entries are due at the Extension Office
November 21st. Information will be sent home in CCES Friday Folders. If you need an entry form or have questions contact the Extension Office.
PIGGY BANK DESIGN CONTEST KY SAVES! Students from K- 12th
grade are encouraged to participate in designing their very own original piggy bank! Piggy banks DO NOT have to be in the shape of a pig. They can be
made from repurposed material or they can be plastic or ceramic banks that you have personally decorated. All entries MUST be turned in to the Extension Office by 4:30PM on Friday, November 30th. More info will be sent ome in CCES Friday Folders. If you have any questions please call the Extension Office.

COUNTRY HAM COMPETITION Would you like to cure a country
ham? Sign up for the 4-H Country Ham Competition by
Dec. 13th. Youth prepare 2 country hams at Broadbent’s in
Eddyville, KY this winter and prepare a 3-5 minute speech presented opening day of the Kentucky State Fair. This is a
GREAT program to get involved in. Cost $60.00

Early American Heritage Project Club If you are in grades 8th-12th and enjoy history and being outdoors then be sure to check out this new, fun and historical club. Members have been learning how soldiers drilled in the 18th century, what they ate, how
they survived on the campaign trail and had black powder shoots. If you are interested in joining, be sure to call or stop by our office!
GEOLOGY CLUB Rockology!!!! Join this amazing
club and dig deeper to learn more about fossils, rocks and minerals! We have and exciting year planned!
Next meeting, Thursday Nov. 14th, 3:15-4:30! Youth can ride the bus from school to the mineral museum. No charge to join! Call our office prior to club meeting to join!
PINTEREST CLUB
Join this fun club and learn and do some of the cool things you see on Pinterest!!!!! November meeting will be Wednesday Nov. 20th 3:30-5:00 PM at the Extension Annex. Please be sure to let us know you are coming so we can have plenty of supplies. Call our office to join! 270-965-5236
AEROSPACE CLUB They’ve been making paper rockets and now box
kites! This club meets each Tuesday at the Extesnion Annex 3:30-5PM.
ROBOTICS CLUB Do you like to build with legos
or computer programming? Join this great club at the library! Call our office for
more details!
Homeschool Club Join this fun group! The next meeting for
Homeschool Club will be Tuesday Nov. 26 at 9am at the Marion United Methodist Church. We will
prepare desserts to donate to the community Thanksgiving meal.
Ham & Bean FUNDRAISER! Will deliver to local businesses. Pick Up available!
4-H Summer Camp! Save the date!!! July 13-17, 2020
Sign-ups will begin around February. If you’d like to give the gift of 4-H camp for Christmas, come by and make a payment for camp and we will give you a
certificate to wrap up for Christmas!

Dog Club
Dog Club is off to a great start! Youth Did a great job learning how to
socialize a dog. Dog club meets monthly. Next meeting will be Tuesday Nov. 27th
3:15-4:30. Ride bus #1514 to the fairgrounds.
HIGH SCHOOL SKI TRIP!
If you are a member of the High School Leadership
Club, we will be having a Leadership Retreat/Ski Trip at Paoli Peaks Feb. 20-22, 2020 Tentative
cost is $110 (subject to change once we make final details). We will be holding a couple Krispy
Kreme donut fundraisers to help pay for the cost. Youth are also required to sell 5 poinsettias each
and attend 2 high school club meetings by the time we leave for our trip.
You may drop your items at the Extension Office also!
We had a great time celebrating Health & Wellness week at CCES by making Smoothies in a
Bag and reading about Rodeo Ron and his Smoothie cows! Try a smoothie next time instead
of a milkshake! If your kids having been telling you about them, here is the recipe!!!
