This parameter specifies the maximum number of data records that are displayed in the result list of a business object. The default value is 100. For more information, see Define Central Search.

MESSAGE_AREA_LINES

This parameter specifies the maximum number of messages to be displayed in the message bar of the CRM WebClient UI. If no explicit value is specified, the default value (three messages) is automatically set. If the number of messages is higher than the specified maximum, a scrollbar is automatically added.

WC_LINK_ORDER

This parameter defines the sorting of links on home pages, report pages, and work center pages. These links are determined in application component CRMCMP_GS_WC and view GroupLinks. This view contains all work center links that are grouped by type 'Search', 'Create', or 'Report', or by the name of the work center link group defined in navigation bar profile Customizing. The default behavior of the two types works as follows:

The sorting of type links is alphabetical.

The sorting of group links depends on the position defined in the Customizing of the navigation bar profile or the business role.

The following parameter values are available:

ALPHA

Type links are sorted alphabetically.

ALPHA!

Type links and group links are sorted alphabetically.

ROLE

Type links are sorted according to the link position defined in Customizing for the business role.

NAVB

Type links are sorted according to the group position and link position defined in Customizing for the navigation bar profile.

ENABLE_FTG_USAGE

This parameter enables or disables the usage of charts in tables in the CRM WebClient UI. You can assign the following values to this parameter:

ASSIGNMENTBLOCK

Graphics are enabled in assignment blocks only.

SEARCHRESULT

Graphics are enabled in result lists only.

ALL

Graphics are enabled in any table type.

NONE

Graphics are completely disabled.

SVH_DISABLED

This parameter disables the smart input help in the CRM WebClient UI. You can assign the following values to this parameter:

L

These are the last values only.

B

This is the background search only.

X

This disables the input help completely.

This includes both the last values and background search.

MESSAGE_AREA_TYPE

This parameter specifies the usage of the message bar in the WebClient UI. With parameter value INPLACEWINDOW you can use the old message bar. With parameter value ANCHOR you can use the new message bar. If you do not use this parameter, the new message area is displayed in the WebClient UI. The parameter is assigned via parameter profile to the function profile PARAMETERS.

To make the message bar available in your business role, you need to assign function profile PARAMETERS to this business role. For more information, see Define Function Profile and Define Business Role.

CRM_CM_COMMIT

This parameter specifies whether you can save or cancel attachment-related changes, together with a business object, with the corresponding SAVE or CANCEL application function. If a business role supports the CRM Content Management (CM) logic, the parameter can be set to X and assigned via function profile PARAMETERS to the business role. This means that the business role does not contain applications based on a Knowledge Provider (KPro), such as Records and Case Management, that cannot use commit-enabled CM.

Recommendation

For a business role that contains a combination of CM Records and Case Management, we explicitly recommend that you do not set this parameter.

In the default setting, this parameter is not set, which means that attachments are saved straight away in direct mode.

This parameter specifies whether you can use the go-to-menu in overview pages in the WebClient UI. With parameter value TRUE, the go-to-menu is activated. The parameter is assigned via parameter profile to the function profile PARAMETERS.

To make the go-to-menu available in your business role, you need to assign function profile PARAMETERS to this business role. For more information, see Define Function Profile.

FAVORITES_ALLOWED

This parameter specifies whether you can use favorites in the WebClient UI. With parameter value TRUE, the favorites are enabled. The parameter is assigned via parameter profile to the function profile PARAMETERS.

To make the favorites available on the home page of your business role, you need to assign function profile PARAMETERS to this business role.

FAVORITES_COMMUNITY

This parameter specifies the community sharing of favorites in the WebClient UI. With parameter value TRUE, the community sharing is enabled. The parameter is assigned via parameter profile to the function profile PARAMETERS.

To make the community sharing of favorites available on the home page of your business role, you need to assign function profile PARAMETERS to this business role.

TAG_CLOUDS_ALLOWED

This parameter specifies whether you can use tag clouds in the WebClient UI. With parameter value TRUE, tag clouds are enabled. The parameter is assigned via parameter profile to the function profile PARAMETERS.

To make tag clouds available on the home page of your business role, you need to assign function profile PARAMETERS to this business role.

TAG_CLOUDS_COMMUNITY

This parameter specifies the community sharing of tags in the WebClient UI. With parameter value TRUE, the community sharing of tags is enabled. The parameter is assigned via parameter profile to the function profile PARAMETERS.

To make community sharing of tags available on the home page of your business role, you need to assign function profile PARAMETERS to this business role.

ENABLE_MU_CONF

This parameter specifies the UI configuration of mash-ups in the WebClient UI. With parameter values ON/OFF you can enable/disable the UI configuration of mash-ups. The parameter is assigned via parameter profile to the function profile PARAMETERS. In the default setting, this parameter is set to ON.

To enable/disable the UI configuration of mash-ups in your business role, you need to assign function profile PARAMETERS to this business role.

EXPORT_DISABLE

This parameter specifies the export to spreadsheet in the WebClient UI. With parameter value TRUE you can disable the export.

To disable the export to spreadsheet to your business role, you need to assign function profile PARAMETERS to this business role.

ALLSEARCHES_SVDSRCH

This parameter specifies whether saved searches are available in the central search menu.

ALLSEARCHES_SVDSRCH

This parameter specifies whether saved searches are available in the central search menu.

DEFAULT_SEARCH

This parameter specifies whether personalization is available for the search criteria of a search page or search help. With parameter value TRUE, the personalization icon is available in the view of the search page or search help next to the Hide Search Fields link. In the personalization dialog, you can select a saved search (or the current search) as a default so that the search criteria are automatically available when you access a search page or search help again. You can also specify whether the default search is executed automatically when you access the search page or search help.

With parameter value FALSE, the personalization is not available.

Note

This parameter affects both search helps and search pages. For search helps, in addition, you have to set the parameter SAVED_SEARCH_POPUP.

SAVED_SEARCH_POPUP

This parameter specifies whether saved searches can be defined in search helps. If you define a saved search, it becomes available in the dropdown list of the Saved Search field.

You can enter the following values:

With this value, saved searches are saved for the business role you are logged on with and for the UI object type assigned to the search help. Only saved searches that match the business role and the UI object type are available in the saved searches of search helps. The saved searches are also made available in the central search.

With this value, saved searches are saved for the business role you are logged on with and for the advanced query object in the business object layer (BOL). Only saved searches that match the business role and the BOL query are available in the saved searches of search helps. The saved searches are also made available in the central search.

/

With this value, saved searches are saved for the business role you are logged on with and for the configuration key of the search criteria. Only saved searches that match the business role and the configuration key are available in the search helps. The saved searches are not available in the central search.

OFF

With this value, saved search are disabled in search helps.

Note

If you do not assign this parameter to a profile, then saved searches are also disabled.

SEARCH_MAX_ROW_PASTE

This parameter specifies the maximum number of rows that you can paste at once as search criteria into an advanced search.

By default, the number of rows that can be pasted at once is limited to 200 to avoid accidental pasting of a huge amount of data. To override this default maximum number for your business role, you need to add the parameter SEARCH_MAX_ROW_PASTE to the function profile PARAMETERS and assign this

function profile to this business role. For more information, see Define Function Profile and Define Business Role.

SEARCH_GRP_SIZE_THR

This parameter specifies the minimum number of similar rows in an advanced search that form a group of rows.

To use this parameter, you must activate the business function UI Framework (UI_FRW_1).

By default, if at least three successive rows have the same attribute (for example, Territory ID) and the same operator (for example, is), those rows are considered as a group. You can collapse such a group by clicking on the arrow icon. To override this minimum threshold for your business role, you need to add the parameter SEARCH_GRP_SIZE_THR to the function profile PARAMETERS and assign this function profile to this business role. The allowed value for that parameter is an integer greater than or equal to 2. For more information, see Define Function Profile and Define Business Role.

ONE_HIT_DIRECT_DISPL

This parameter specifies whether the system navigates directly to the overview page from Advanced Search pages of the WebClient UI, when the search finds exactly one result.

The parameter has no influence on the behavior of the simple search or the central search.

TILED_LAYOUT_OLD

This parameter specifies whether you use the tile layout design with links instead of tabs.

When you have activated the business function UI Framework (UI_FRW_1), all pages with content organized in tiles are rendered with the new design that uses tabs instead of links. With value TRUE, you can enable the previous layout design with links, without completely deactivating the business function UI Framework.

INCL_SUB_TERR

This parameter sets the value for the search criteria Include Sub-Territories to yes on the WebClient UI for all sales and service objects for which you can search using a territory as a search criterium.

In this Customzing activity, you need to add the parameter value INCL_SUB_TERR under Parameter Assignment and select X to set the value to yes on the WebClient UI.

Note that this search criteria Include Sub-Territories is delivered as inactive on the WebClient UI; in order to display it on the WebClient UI, you need to enable it in the UI Configuration Tool by copying it from Available Search Criteria to Selected Search Criteria.
