Note: Unless otherwise stated, the parts are worked in rounds. Instead of 2 chains for the beginning, you can also use the magic ring. The legs and the back part are crocheted to the body, so you have to crochet them before you start with the body.

To mark the beginning of the rounds, take a strand of yarn (running stitch marker) in contrasting color. When you finish the last stitch of your round, drape the strand to the otherside. When the crocheted part is finished, you can simply pull out the strand.

Legs (4 x)2 x ch with dark brownR 01 6 x sc in second chain from hook, mark the round with a strand of yarn (6)R 02 (2 x sc, inc) x 2 (8)R 03 sc in each stitch (8)fasten off, cut the yarn. If you want you can weave the yarn end in, but it is not necessary, since it is hidden inside the rabbit.

Ears (2 x)2 x ch with dark brownR 01 6 x sc in second chain from hook, mark the round with a strand of yarn (6)R 02 6 x inc (12)R 03-07 sc in each stitch (12)R 08 6 x dec (6)fasten off, cut the thread

Back piece2 x ch with light brownR 01 6 x sc in second chain from hook, mark the round with a strand of yarn (6)R 02 6 x inc (12)R 03 (sc, inc) x 6 (18)fasten off, cut the yarn

Head6 x ch with ecruR 01 inc in second chain from hook, continue crocheting on the chain,

3 x sc, 3inc in last stitch, continue crocheting around the chain, 4 x sc (12)R 02 12 x inc (24)R 03-06 24 x sc (24)R 07 4 x sc, 2 x ch, skip 8 stitches, 12 x sc (16 sc, 2 ch)R 08 4 x sc, then 2 x sc in chain, 12 x sc (18)R 09 (1 x sc, dec) x 6 (12)R 10 6 x dec (6)skip 1 stitch, sl st, cut the yarn and sew it

Now start to crochet the body, starting at the opening of the head. Start in the 1st stitch of the skipped sc of R 07. See picture.

R 11 Crochet 8 x sc, then over the gap 4 x sc, insert yarn marker for the round (12)

Here you see the head after the 8 sc, now work 4 stitches overthe gap.

R 12 12 x inc (24)R 13 Since the rabbit’s body is not round, the back must be extended. This is done by

crocheting on another piece. It is quite easy. I will show you how it works.

7 x sc, then hold the crocheted back piece to the body and crochet both pieces together with 3 x sc. The wrong side of the back piece is facing you. Then 9 x sc, sc+ color change to light brown, 4 x sc (24)

R 14 7 x sc, crochet on the back piece: inc, 13 x sc, inc, then crochet again on the neck until the end of the round: 14 x sc (38)

R 15 6 x sc, dec, 15 x sc, dec, 13 x sc (36)

R 16 In this round the legs are crocheted to the body, but first you have to change thebeginning of the rounds. This is how it works: Crochet 2 x sc, then put in a new yarn marker to mark the new rounds. The following rounds start from here.

Here we go: 8 x sc, hold the first leg to the body and crochet with 4 x sc leg and body together. You can see in the picture how you have to hold the leg to the body.

Then crochet 2 x sc, hold the second leg to the body and work 4 x sc, 8 x sc, then the third legwith 4 x sc, 2 x sc, the fourth leg with 4 x sc. End of round. (36)

R 17 8 x sc, then crochet over the outside of the leg 4 x sc, 2 x sc, 4 x sc outside of next leg, 8 x sc, 4 x sc outside of leg 2 x sc, 4 x sc outside of leg (36)

The rabbit should now look like this:

Stuff the head firmly. Shape the back of the head with fiberfill so it’s rounded.

R 18 (sc, dec) x 12 (24)R 19 (2 x sc, dec) x 6 (18) stuff body and legsR 20 (sc, dec) x 6 (12) stuff againR 21 6 x dec (6)sl st, cut the thread and sew the opening

Finishing

If everything went well :) then your rabbit should look like this:

Pin the ears to the head, approximately where you crocheted the beginning chain for the head. Mark the position for the eyes with pins on the side of the head.

Then sew the ears to the head and embroider eyes and a nose.

For the tail make a small pom-pom with a fork. Cut the it to match the size of the rabbit. It looks cutest if it is as small as possible. Then sew it on.On the Internet you will find many instructions for small pom-poms. Just Google.

And you're finished! ♥
