CAREER Program Guidelines

• Minimum award size is $400,000 (BIO minimum: $500,000)

• 5 year duration for all awards

• Departmental letter required

CAREER Eligibility Criteria

1. PIs may compete in the CAREER program a total of three times

2. At the time of proposal submission in July, the PI must hold a doctoral degree in a field of science or engineering supported by NSF, be untenured, and have not previously received an NSF PECASE or CAREER award
