RESEARCH TOWARDS THE CROSSBAR CHALLENGE VIDEO

YOUTUBERS

• To gain ideas for this video, I watched the 'Crossbar challenges‘ that were uploaded onto Youtube. I discovered that most of the 'football YouTubers' have made videos such as the 'Crossbar challenge‘ and received a lot of attention because of it.

• I researched youtubers such as Wroetoshaw, KSIOlajidebt, F2 Freestylers and many more who have done the crossbar challenge. I watched these successful youtubers as they have a similar target audience to CNIC, as well as having similar content but with a tremendous fan base that engages significantly in their content, which is what we want to gain.

WHAT I DISCOVERED

• In each off these videos I discovered that they all feature up beat music such as dubstep. Dubstep is a genre of music that is commonly listened to by adolescents which is my desired audience. By including dubstep music, it also emphasises and enhances the quality of football in display. The dubstep music also causes the video to have a faster tempo, which will keep the viewer excited and elevated. Another reason for the dubstep music could be to distract the audience from the content in the video, should it not be the best. The background music will hopefully keep the audience content with the video.

• I noticed that in the videos they include multiple cuts throughout it. These cuts also seem to establish the pace of the video as it is including all the key moments in the footage. This causes the viewer to stay focussed on the video at all times.

• My video is supposed to be perceived as if it was created by two adolescents that are fans of the page and therefore in the video I will include a lot of techniques that the youtubers used. I will add a lot of cuts; simply by using the necessary footage (the football shots.) I will also include a royalty free dubstep beat that will be played for the majority of the video.
