Dr Sagit Weiss, MD, MSc: Founder and CEO
• I am an academic researcher with 12 years (global) experience in the
pharmaceutical industry (Sanofi, Pfizer, Teva Pharmaceuticals and Brainsgate).
• I have dealt with medical research funding throughout my career, academic and the
pharmaceutical.
• I managed medical research funding budgets (up to 7 digits) and processes.
I am in a unique position to create trust and partnership with researchers and their
host institutions globally thanks to my experience and network, but also with other key
stakeholders such as charities, patients’ associations and public funding organisations.
My vision lies on a first-hand experience of the circumstances of medical research
underfunding, and an exposure to the world of communication and marketing.
Timo Tuominen Co-founder and CTO
I have been software for over a decade, including solutions for Nokia, Samsung,
Bosch and Vodafone, as technical lead.
Some of my projects reached over 1 M users in half a year, while still in
development.
In my 5-year career with the Finnish software agency Futurice, I acquired a
diversified experience, building teams, interviewing for new hires and founding new
offices in Berlin and London.
After developing these offices, I decided to look for new challenges and have been
since working as an independent consultant as well as an entrepreneur.
I joined Crowdacure in October 2014.
