How to awake interest?

• platform makes using digital collections easier• As usable as possible• Benefit in the form of own scrapbook with personally

collected clippings• Clippings also searchable by all users

• Clippings can be shared with interest groups inother social medias

• hope to invite new users by opening the service for f.ex. schools, researchers and interest groups

From earlier co-operation to Digitalkoot

The National Library of Finland• Participated in game for text correction in 2011-

12 with the company Microtask• Already then the Library wanted to see if there

was demand for crowdsourcing of clippings, likearticles, pictures, advertisements from nespapers,journals and ephemera

New project• The content of collections in fokus• Financing from European union social funds• ready in April, one of the first crowdsourcing
