Issue 69 July 2015 Croyland primary school Newsletter As I sit at my desk and write the final newsletter of the year the first thoughts that come into my head are thank you. As parents, thank you for your support to the school and the leadership team as well as to the teachers of your chil- dren. Without your support for your child's learning and attendance at the many enrichment activities and celebrations that are on offer, our school would not be in the category of “ good” that it is, as we end another academic year. I am delighted that due to all of the above, we are now part of the 5 Wells Teaching School of Wellingborough. This means that we work in close partnership with Rowangate, Redwell, Park, All Saints and Ruskin Infants. These are all good or outstanding schools. This partnership is a great acco- lade for us and will aid our journey to provide the best education for the chil- dren of our community and together, within Wellingborough. A member of the Senior Leadership team will be available for contact over the summer holidays. An email sent to the school’s email address will ensure that a member of the team will get in touch. I look forward to see your Extreme Reading Photos and hearing of your summer adventures. Happy Holidays. Miss Deakin . Holiday club– Our holiday club will be open throughout the summer holiday, please book early with Mrs Creary or Miss Hackney to avoid disappointment. Plans for the holidays include: drama, camping, treasure hunts, cookery, wacky races, picnics, nature trails, Pyjama parties and t-shirt decorating! Details of the activities planned on a weekly basis are available on our website.

Croyland Primary Sports Day 2015 Thursday the 16th July was sports day at Croyland. The weather was bright and everyone was running and trying hard to win. I liked the tug of war because I loved it when we all pulled the rope then fell over. After the tug of war there was the running race. I think that sports day this year was one of the best sports day ever. Daisy (Year 6)

I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the adults and children who contributed to making Sports Day 2015 a success. Especially those people who gave up their free time and gazebos! The children competed with en-thusiasm and resilience throughout the day – and showed off the range of

sporting talents that we are lucky enough to be able to nurture at Croyland. Thank you all again, and good luck for next year! Mr Flynn
