ATTORNEY ANDREW R. CRUMBIE

As detective, Andrew conducted background investigationsfor licensure of executive employees, assisted in developmentof risk mitigation policies, regulatory structures, andconducted criminal investigations into fraud, forgery, bribery,counterfeiting, and related white collar crimes, in a multi-billion dollar industry.

As Task Force Agent with the FBI, Andrew worked closely withthe Office of the United States Attorney, District ofConnecticut, to conduct grand jury investigations into nationalcriminal organizations.

Andrew also served in the capacity of Deputy Commissionerwhile head of the State Police Forensic Science Laboratory.Here, Andrew was responsible for oversight for forensicexamination of physical evidence in all criminal cases in thestate of Connecticut. As a milestone of this assignment,Andrew created and developed the State’s first ComputerCrime and Electronic Evidence Laboratory. Serving in thiscapacity with world-renowned forensic scientist, Dr. HenryLee, Andrew traveled throughout Asia with Dr. Lee conductingseminars and instructing training in investigative techniquesand crime scene reconstruction.

Attorney ANDREW R. CRUMBIEis CLG’s founder and owner.Andrew has 20 years experiencein federal and state lawenforcement. Beginning his lawenforcement career with theConnecticut State Police, servingseveral of those years assigned tothe Connecticut Federal Bureauof Investigation (FBI), Andrew hasserved in various capacitiesincluding, Detective, Task ForceAgent, Sergeant, DeputyCommissioner, and Chief of Staffto the Commissioner.

ATTORNEY HENRI ALEXANDRE

In addition to serving in his various leadership roles in theOAG, Attorney Alexandre tried many cases to the court andto jury verdict in state and federal court and arguednumerous appeals in the Connecticut Supreme Court andAppellate Court as well as the United States Court ofAppeals for the Second Circuit.

In his over 25 years working in the OAG, Attorney Alexandrehas litigated issues and supervised investigations in some ofthe most significant cases in Connecticut’s recenthistory. Attorney Alexandre’s work at the OAG has had far-reaching impact on policies at the highest levels of stategovernment.

Henri speaks French and is fluent in Haitian Creole.Henri received a Juris Doctor from the University ofConnecticut, School of Law, in 1982 and a Bachelors of Artin Psychology from Central Connecticut State University in1976.

Attorney HENRI ALEXANDRE isa well-established and highlyrespected trial attorney withover 27 years at the ConnecticutBar. Most recently, AttorneyAlexandre served as DepartmentHead in the office of the StateAttorney General. Attorney Czekajewski has experience handling complex civil andcommercial litigation matters involving breach of contract,construction defects, insurance coverage disputes, non-competeagreements, environmental claims, unfair trade practices,business torts and disputes, wrongful employment termination,landlord-tenant disputes and property tax appeals. AttorneyCzekajewski has considerable state and federal trial experienceas well as alternative dispute resolution experience, includingarbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and theInternational Centre for Dispute Resolution.

During law school, Attorney Czekajewski served as ExecutiveEditor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law, was amoot court teaching assistant and studied abroad at LeidenUniversiteit in the Netherlands, concentrating in European Unionlaw. Attorney Czekajewski is originally from Poland and is fluentin Polish. She is active in the Connecticut Bar Association, havingserved on the Young Lawyers Executive Committee and is amember of the Board of Directors of the Penn Club of HartfordCounty.

Attorney JOANNA CZEKAJEWSKI isan experienced civil litigator. Sheconcentrates her practice in theareas of commercial litigation,premises and retail practice liability,personal injury, municipal services,corporate governance and labor andemployment law. AttorneyCzekajewski previously worked at alarge prominent Hartford law firmwhere she focused on tort litigationincluding products liability, premisesliability and retail practice liability. Inaddition, she represented theinterests of trucking andtransportation companies andinsurers of trucking companies instate and federal courts againstclaims of negligence, wrongful death,cargo damage and products liability.

Mark’s current practice includes representing businesses,government agencies, and individuals in complex litigationbefore state and federal courts and administrative agencies.He frequently appears before the Connecticut Commissionon Human Rights and Opportunity and advises clients onvarious aspects of employment law. He is admitted topractice law in Connecticut and New York and before theUnited States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit andbefore the United States District Court for the District ofConnecticut, the Eastern District of New York, and theSouthern District of New York.

In addition to his practice, Mark is an active member ofvarious bar associations and community organizations. Before joining CLG, Attorney Schenkel representedincarcerated youths while at the American Civil LibertiesUnion (ACLU). He also gained Endangered Species Act (ESA)and Connecticut Environmental Policy Act (CEPA) litigationexperience while working for the Connecticut Fund for theEnvironment.

Edward M. Schenkel received his B.S. from The University ofDelaware and his J.D. with honors from the University ofConnecticut School of Law.
