A Covenant is…

CRUSADER COVENANT

A solemn promise.

A sacred agreement.

A pact made with God and Oneself.

A promise we make

to ourselves and our school.

Our Crusader Covenant is…

A promise we make to be the best we can

possibly be.

It reminds us to treat each other with love

and respect.

Lead with INTEGRITY.

Live in HARMONY with one another.

Lead a FAITH filled life.

Act with BENEVOLENCE.

When we enter a Crusader Covenant

we strive to…

This covenant is the foundation of our school

community.

Integrity calls us to live our lives seeking virtue, excellence and consistency. We cannot act one way at home and another at school. We strive to treat everyone and every situation with the same calculus: What is right and what is wrong? What is helpful? What is good? The task before us is to integrate our thoughts, beliefs and ambitions into a healthy personality.

Harmony is the way of peace:

balanced, reasonable, enduring. There is

a middle way, a golden path where the penitent person seeks to trod. Our actions and choices should be in rhythm with our goals and our values, not dissonant and countervailing.

Faith is the furnace of St. Francis. We are made holy and are called to be holy. Our actions should reflect our efforts to find God in ourselves, our lives and each other. Our goal is to come closer to God in all that we do; we reject actions that separate and divide.

Benevolence calls us to look beyond

ourselves and toward the greater

good. We must go beyond our self-interest and narrow desires. We are challenged to ask ourselves how we can use our gifts and talents to make our school, our community and our world a better place. Do our actions improve us or diminish us? Heal us or wound us? Bring us closer together or drive us apart?
