Why is it important?
Ischemia is an oxygen starvation of the heart. The reason is clots in vessels of the coronary arteries. Early detection of ischemia is the guarantee of good treatment.
If the blood flow in a coronary artery is blocked by a thrombus suddenly, there is a severe lack of oxygen and as a result a myocardial infarction.

Time is health!The most effective treatment for myocardial infarction is medication that dissolves the blood clot in the early hours as soon as a doctor diagnoses a heart attack. But it is only effective during the first hours of the onset. Later a blood clot becomes more resistant to drugs. In 6 hours after the onset of myocardial infarction most of the cells in the affected area die and it is senselessly to apply drugs . Further only invasive methods of treatment are effective.
The sooner we learn about the origin of ischemia the more effective the treatment will be.
