AIR SUPPLY AND CONNECTIONS

•Useonlyclean,regulatedcompressedairasapowersourceforthistool.Donotusebottlegases,combustiblegasesoroxygenasapowersourceforthetoolasthetoolmayexplode.

•Donotuseairsupplypressuresthatexceed110PSI.Exceedingtherecommendedmaximumoperatingairpressurewillgreatlyincreasetoolwear.

•Theairsupplymustbecapableofmaintainingtheoperatingairpressureofthetool.Pressuredropsintheairsupplycanreducetoolwear.

•Useapressureregulatorandgaugetoallowvisualinspectionoftheairpressurebeingdeliveredtothetool.

•Useairhosesthathaveratedpressuresofupto150%ofthemaximumpressurethatcanbegeneratedbythepowersource.Thesupplyhoseshouldcontainfittingsthatwillprovidequickdisconnectingfromthemaleplugonthetool.

•Usequickconnectfittingsthatallowthetooltobeunhookedfromtheairsupplyquicklyandeasily.

•Donotusefittingsthatwillnotallowthetooltoexhaustwhentheairsupplyisdisconnected.

•Disconnectair.OpentheMagazineCover.

•PlacecapreelintheMagazine-makesurethefrontendofthecapcoilisplacedoverthecapguideareaoftheMagazine.InsertleadcapintotheFeedChute.ClosetheMagazineCover.

•SlidecapsalongtheFeedChutewithfingersuntiltheyengagetheCapFeeder.PulltheCapFeederbackandreleasetoadvancethecapsuntilthefirstcapisundertheNoseofthetool.

•PullbacktheStapleFolloweruntiltheLatchcatches.

•PlacestaplesintheStapleTrack.

•ReleasetheCatchButton.Plugintotheairsource.Thetoolisreadytouse!

OPERATING THE TOOL

DO NOT USE CS150B PRIOR TO READING THIS OWNER’S MANUAL

1.Readwarninglabel(s)onthetool

2.Visuallyinspectthetoolforwornordamagedparts

3.Wearappropriateeyeandearprotection

4.InstallamalepneumaticfittingintotheEndCapofthetool,ensuringthatthefittingallowsthetooltoexhaustanyairinthetoolwhenthehoseisdisconnected

5.Add2dropsofnon-detergent,20-weightoilintothemalefittingdaily

6.Connecttheairhosetothetoolusingaquickconnectfitting,andchecktheairpressurereadingontheregulatortoensureitdoesnotexceed110PSI.Checkthetoolforanyairleeks.

7.Placethetool,emptyoffasteners,inoperatingpositiononascrapworkpiece-fullydepresstheSafetyandpulltheTriggertoverifythatthetoolcycles.

8.Disconnecttheairhosefromthetoolwhen: •Loadingstaplesand/orcaps •Performinginspection,maintenance,orrepair •Clearingastapleorcollatedcapjam •Thetoolisnotinuse •Leavingtheworkarea •Movingthetooltoanotherworklocation •Handingthetooltoanotherperson •Storingthetool

9.Followingrecommendedloadinginstructions,loadthefastenerapprovedforuseinthetool.

10.Cyclethetoolonascrappiecetoevaluatethedepthofpenetrationbythefastenerintotheworkpiece.

11.Toadjustthedepthofpenetration,regulatetheairpressureattheaircompressorand/ordisconnecttheairhose,adjustthedepthcontrolwheel,connecttheairhose,andcyclethetoolonascrapworkpiecetoevaluatetheadjustment.

12.RepeatStep11asneededtosetthecorrectdepth,usingtheminimumamountofairpressuretodrivethefastener.

2.Useairlinelubricators.Iflubricatorsarenotavailable,orifhoselengthexceeds10feet,add2dropsofnon-detergent20-weightoildailyintotheairinletofthetool.

3.Wheneverrepairsorreplacementofpartsinsidethebodyoccur,checkthepiston“O”ringforadequategreaselubrication.

4.NeveruseanypartsotherthangenuineSTINGERreplacementparts.Toorder,call800-746-5659.

5.PeriodicallycleantheMagazineandNoseofthetoolwithamildsolvent.

STORAGE

1.Disconnecttheairhosewhenstoringthetool.

2.Neverstorethetoolincoldweatherenvironmentsforanydurationoftimeasanyfrostoriceformationinthetoolwillcausetoolfailures.

3.Forprolongedstorage,add2dropsofoiltotheairinletofthetoolpriortodiscontinuinguse.Alsocleantheexteriorofthetoolwithamildsolvent.
