The good news is that there are lots of things happening around CTK - the bad news is that we just can't get all of the pictures in! Hopefully, you are going to love the ones in this Chatter. What fun the students had last week meeting their “buddies” for the first time. Older students were paired with younger students as we began our “Buddy Program” with the “Buddy Rocks” project. After meeting their buddies, students painted their rocks with designs and then the rocks were put into the planter outside of the cafeteria. Here are just a few pictures from that day:

  • In addition to the “Buddy Program,” CTK held a Crazy Sock Day to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Florence. Thanks to everyone who donated to this cause. We raised $240!

PARENTS: We are so excited to introduce to you the FLUency Program. This is a

program that allows parents to anonymously log in any illness that their child is

experiencing. They can also see what illnesses have been logged in by other parents in

each grade level - ALL ANONYMOUS. This will let parents know if there are others

experiencing the same symptoms. A brochure is being sent home today with all of the

details for this program and instructions to set up your an account.

  • Speaking of the cafeteria - the Archdiocese has entered into a new contract for the distribution of our milk products. The present contract has expired and the new contract will not go into effect until October 8, 2018. Therefore, milk will not be available this week for students. The cafeteria will offer water and juice at no extra cost until the milk is available.

Mrs. Oustalet’s 7th graders are “all in” for the AR program. Classroom goals have been set and the first goal of reading 20 books has been met. Students enjoyed the” Relax, Read, and Reeses.” The next goal is 30 books read by the class and they are working hard to read those books and meet the next goal.

Oh, to be so young again! These students from 1C thoroughly enjoyed some old fashioned fun – jumping rope and doing a little hula hooping.

GREAT NEWS! It's time to begin our Parent lunches. Parent lunches will begin

on October 1, 2018. A flyer is attached to the Chatter giving details on what you

need to do to attend lunch with your child(ren). Students love to have parents

join them for lunch, so we hope you have the chance to do so.

Get ready for some BASKETBALL!!! That's right, the flyer went home

announcing the Christ the King Night with the Pelicans. Mark your calendars for

Tuesday, October 23, 2018, and make sure you complete the form and return it to

school, along with your payment, no later than tomorrow, October 2, 2018.

Twelve lucky CTK students will get to stand with the Pelicans players during the

pre-game ceremony. It's always a fun night, so please try to join us.

  • Thanks to the Men's Club for purchasing the CTK flag for the Cross Country team. The flag is beautiful and makes

it easy for everyone to know where to meet.

Picture retakes will be on Thursday, October 4, 2018, for students who were absent when pictures were originally

taken. Any parent wanting to have a child’s picture retaken must send back the entire picture order, along with $5,

    to have the retake.

Attached to this week’s Chatter is a copy of the CTK Parent Survey for your information. Thanks to all who

    participated in the survey.
