In 2006 Metoda decides to undertake a major challenge to get in the graphic arts market, becoming the first and only

Italian manufacturer of Computer to Plate (CtP), immediately focusing on research and development. Allowing them to

innovate the basic concept of the external drum CtP with thermal laser.

Hence, was established the division CtpOptotec which is mainly engaged in research and development in

optoelectronics, with the design and manufacture of laser sources for applications not only in the field of Graphic Arts,

as well as the design and manufacture of components, laser module, electrical panels and chillers for CtP applications,

taking advantage of the knowledge of the industrial business unit.

In early 2011 the Metoda SpA, holder of projects, such as patents and trademarks "CtpOptotec" and "One", with the

aim to consolidate and integrate their skills with optoelectronic purely mechanical skills, establishes a joint venture

with the company Micromeccanica s.r.l.

Micromechanics s.r.l. work in the field of precision engineering since the early 80's and specializes in the design,

construction and maintenance of molds, machines, automated equipment and special series for the automotive and

other industries.

Through this collaboration is to bring the CtP One in the world market, paying attention to technological innovation

that can result from the union of two companies, the leading Italian and foreign markets, with regard to precision

engineering, opto-electronics, industrial automation and software.

The partnership, in October 2011 to launch series production of the new version of the CtP One "second generation"

version that includes major technical improvements in terms of mechanical, electronic components, the laser module

and functionality in terms of performance.

In November 2011 consolidates another major colaboration with the German company Marks3zet, (distributor of

materials and plates for waterless offset printing and in Germany and Europe), through this collaboration to date we

count five installations in Germany and one in France and by May 2012, there will be five other units of CtP One

"second generation", installed in Germany.

And at the beginning of 2013 it’s the moment of the “big step” through a Merge and Acquisition action, made from

somebody who believed in One Ctp since long time, Dr. Gert Sieger (CEO of Marks3zet) which in the previous year

bought also Konings GmbH (waterless processor manufacturer). So Konigs aquire the mayority of CtpOptotec business

unit from Metoda, and the new challenging mission officially starts…to became the prepress specialist.

CtP One is the the high technology prepress machinery, completely produced in Italy, with the aim to be provided to

the world printing company market.

One 750 and One 1100 CTP will be more compact, available on the market, relative to the sizes 4 and 8 pages.

CtP One retains one of the key concepts of "modularity", it will be possible to switch from a single laser module, two

modules to double the speed, the resolution of the modules can vary from 2400 \ 2540 dpi to 4800 \ 5080 \ 7620 dpi,

One CTP can be purchased in manual and turned into a fully automatic version (with the addition of One Autoloader),

directly at the customer site.

At the exhibition "Drupa 2012" we’ve been presenting and launching systems CtP One 750 and One Autoloader

“Second Generation”.

Nowaday 40 units have been installed mainly in Italy and Germany and the rest of Europe.

In January 2014 will be launched mass production of 60 to 100 CtP One, pointing to a growing presence on the world

market.

CtP One 1100 “Second Generation”

The high definition for the CTP One is a standard solution, indeed the ILH One thermal laser can be

configured with a resolution of 5080 dpi with no need for optional components. It 's also

interesting the predisposition to the management of two laser modules within the same CTP.

The proprietary design of the laser source and the development of the optical module yield an

"anti back-reflection", ie it allows to protect laser diodes from any reflections due to scratched

plates and \ or badly cut. For this reason Metoda One offers customers to extend, at very low cost,

the guarantee of the laser head ILH One over two years.

on the market, 64 laser diodes, with a system of

"back reflection" for the reduction of faults to

the individual diodes.

The chiller module, project owner, requires no maintenance, has properties for heating and cooling

of the liquid of the circuit according to the use of the system in different environments with

temperature differences. It 's quiet, compact and covered for two years as the rest of the system.

The electronic board and the cabinet have been redesigned to improve system performance:

Improved speed of loading and unloading plate, increased performance in terms of acceleration \

deceleration of the drum during the writing and shifting of the laser to assume the position of work

or return to the position "zero", then most writing speed of the laser with a consequent increase in

productivity.

A permanent growing path1. New production site - The new site for the series production of the new version of the CTP One at the

headquarters of Micromeccanica, and the other at the Production Facilities of BTPtecno, both in

Salerno, with its large manufacturing and modern precision machinery, will enable us to improve the

mechanical quality of the CTP One and above will allow us to produce in series. And finally lunch a

batch production of 60-100 units on 2014.

2. Training for technical staff inside and outside the company, in order to "share" the knowledge of the

One CTP system and facilitate assistance to clients, helping to contain maintenance costs. Continuos

sharing knowledge program are going on, with dealers and agents.

3. Consolidation of distribution network abroad, represented by our dealer mayor reference and

partner "Marks3Zet" (www.marks-3zet.de); we now cover also Netherland, Russia, France, Spain, Iran,

Bangladesh and Turkey.

4. Continuous development of the CTP One in functional and operational, with the development of UV

laser module, for the recording of conventional plates, which released, customers who have

purchased CTP One can make the replacement of the thermal laser module. Flexo Ctp, Newspaper Ctp

and other projects are some of the “working in progress” project in our laboratories.

5. Important partnership development

Either from technological than distribution point of you, the target it’s always to find the right partner

either to improve the system technology concerning prepress equipment researched and developed

than to look for the right partner to introduce and distribute our technology in new countries.
