Swim Filters are based on “Filtr-Cleer”process, featuring high velocity selectivefiltration. They employ a variety of min-erals having different bulk densities andgranule sizes so as to form a selectivefiltering bed.The minerals are arranged with thelargest and lightest granules at the top,followed by the layers of diminishingparticle size but increasingly heavierminerals.This special and exclusive arrangement,resulting from research and tests in thefield over a long time, makes it possibleto achieve a filtration velocity which isfive times the velocity of conventionalsand filters as well as an exceptionalquality of filtrate.

Hydro-Cleer Filters are based on the mostsophisticated process for makingswimming-pool water crystal clear:filtration by diatomaceous earth. Themicroporosity of this very fine whitepowder, produced from the silica-basedshells of a peculiar type of microalgae,makes it possible to attain a very highdegree of water clearness to the extent of1-micron range. The technical featurewhich characterizes these systems is theself-cleansing Culligan filtering element.The dirty swimming-pool water is pumpedthrough the filter and passes through thediatomaceous earth coat uniformly spreadon the filtering elements. The turbidityparticles are trapped in the coat and spar-kling clear water is directed to the pool.
