TINE STUBBLE CULTIVATORS

Stubble cult ivat ion is a key stage in intercropping. KUHN's Cult imer range provides a solut ion for every situat ion:

• Versatility, with 350 mm fi ns for superfi cial work and 50 mm and 80 mm t ines for in-depth work

• Mixing, both intensive and opt imal with the t ine/defl ector pair

• Clearance, signifi cant under the frame for working in areas where there are large quant it ies of plant debris

• Safety, with a double spring protect ing the equipment for constant effi ciency

VERSATILITY AND EFFICIENCYOF TINES

80MM POINT AND 350 MM FINS

Standard fi tt ing on the Cult imer, this point can be fi tted with 2 lateral fi ns to achieve stubble cult ivat ion at a depth of 7 to 15 cm. Without fi ns, this t ine allows working down to a depth of 35 cm.

CARBIDE COATED POINT AND FINS

Owing to their carbide plates, the durability of these parts is mult iplied by 5 with regards to convent ional parts: ensured t ime and labor cost savings. In addit ion to the carbide plates, the point is specially ribbed to limit as much as posssible wear on the surface. The 50 mm point is intended for deep restructurat ion (35cm) with low power requirement.

DUCK FOOT SHARE

This 3350 mm share is part icularly intended for shallow stubble cult ivation and allows scalping the whole soil surface even at shallow depth (3 to 7 cm).

- The incurved 1 shape of the t ines promotes soil-residue mixing.

- The defl ector 2 increases the soil turning effect and facilitates evacuat ion and distribut ion of residues.

- Removable blades 3 allow t illing the soil over the whole surface during superfi cial shallow cult ivat ion.

DEEP STUBBLE CULTIVATION TO BREAK UP THE GROUND

- The 50 or 80 mm wide t ines allow working the soil as deep as 35 cm, in one or two passages if necessary, depending on the type of soil.

- Safety through the double spring provides deep penetrat ion capacity, prevents t ine slippage and protects the frame.

EXCEPTIONAL MIXING OWING TO THE CURVED TINE

The t ine curve combined to the defl ector allows intensive soil/plant residue mixing. The soil is turned over and mixed several t imes when in contact with the t ine before being ejected sideways. Straw is thus deposited over the whole surface worked to accelerate decomposit ion.

NON STOP MECHANICAL SAFETY

The large cross-sect ion double spring prevents drumming:- spring fastening point on the t ine generates a slight rotat ion of the axes,

- the t ine mount ing clip ensures a large contact area with the frame.

BENEFIT OF THE TINE SHAPE

The posit ion of the point with regards to the soil provides except ional pene-trat ion capacity even in dry ground. In addit ion to the intensive soil-straw mixing, the curved shape of the t ine allows reducing the power requirement compared with a straight t ine.

SIGNIFICANT UNDER-BEAM CLEARANCE TO COPE WITH ANY CONDITIONS

- The clearance under the frame (840 mm) means you can work even where there are dense plant residues.

- The spacing of t ines on each row and between rows reduces the risk of clogging.6

The tine / disc and roller combination performs the following in a single passage:

- breakage, crumbling or intensive mixing;

- surface levelling;

- soil tamping

BENEFITS OF THE LEVELLING DISCS

The levelling disc gangs enable leaving a levelled soil after the t ines in order to opt imize roller work.- standard without safety or with elastomer safety as opt ion for stony fi elds and intensive use.

- the 2 end discs are fi tted as standard on elastomer safety with individual height adjustment per pin.

VERSATILITY: SEEDING WHILE STUBBLE CULTIVATING

The SH small seed drill can be fi tted to drill a cover crop.With a capacity of 200 to 380 litres, with blower electric or hydraulic drive. The choice of metering units allows seeding all seed variet ies. Seeding capacity: 25 kg/ha in 6 m at 10 km/h with small seeds.

SAFETY DURING TRANSPORT

LOW MAINTENANCE COSTS

Our carbide wear parts (t ips) are forged then treated. This makes them robust and extremely wear resistant. The grooves on the upper side fi ll with soil and reduce wear even further by the soil-soil contact.In addit ion, the carbide plates are posit ioned in3 separate areas on the t ip ensuring except ional soil penetrat ion on hard ground, reduced power requirement and a long life in terms of wear.

Note: The carbide plates tuck under the t ip to prevent them from detaching in stony condit ions.
