I t aeems incredible that Rutherford, a community with a long history for forw ard thinking, ahould now be complaining about Fairletgh Dickinson Univeraity’a tax exempt status.

Rutherford, which waa the home of Dr. William Carlos Williams, one of the great A a sn c sa poets and w riters and the birth- place of John M arin, one of the forem ost painters, is in danger of marring its own reputation.
