Event: Metropolitan Girls League Under 16 Cup Final Venue: Oscar Traynor Centre Coolock Lane Coolock Co Dublin Kick Off: 5:00pm Meeting: 3:45pm Leaving Joeys: 3:15pm (Latest) Last year the League charged €5 for the car park this included a brochure not sure about this year. Please take time to read this handout it will go towards the smooth running of the day. If anyone arrives or does anything to indicate that they have not read this document then they will not be playing. First thing all players should be aware of is you are in the final because you earned it. You won the qualifiers, the quarters and then the semi’s you are in the finals because of your own commitment. One thing to remember there is always a bit more hype about the final but everything else is the same, You play on the same size pitch with the same rules same size football. We know the oppositions strengths and weaknesses. Be confident, never be intimidated by the other team. Focus on your game plan and on the process you have to complete to perform well. If you think the player you are marking or trying to beat is more skilful than you, well you over come this by being more determined stick closer, stand up for yourself. A few Points. On match day do not arrive with earings, bracelets, watches, eye rings, metal head bands are not allowed so don’t wear any neither are metal hair clips. We have to remember that as a part of St Josephs you are part of a club that has built a reputation of excellence and quality over the past 60 years. With this in mind we arrive and act in a manner that does not take away from this, all players now have joeys gear we will be warming up in our shorts socks and pink tops (weather permitting) if it is raining black joeys rain tops or tracksuit tops or a plain black top no other crested gear is allowed. Only players in Joeys gear will be playing. All under armour must on top be black or white bottoms black. All shin guard holders (the elastic ones that go on outside of socks) if wearing must be plain black any tape on socks must be black. If you wear your pink top under your jersey you will not be allowed onto the pitch. Checklist

Check laces and studs you don’t want your cup final cut short because you have frayed laces that break and you cant play on, Finally you are one of 9 Joeys teams Boys and Girls to play in cup finals this weekend, as manager and coach the job of picking the best team that we feel can do the job falls to Myself and Leanne. You are older now so everyone has to realize this we would love to say that everyone will get on the pitch for X amount of time this is not always possible and everyone has to understand that, we are a team and whether you played in the first round or you play in the final all have played a part in whatever the outcome. Again this is the 2nd year we have reached the MGL finals, for myself and Leanne as coaches this is a great achievement and we applaud the commitment you all have shown during the year.
