No we are still in France of course so what in the world is this then a roman memorial no. It is actually it is a funeral hall of fame and yes it is modeled after a roman building. Ok guess how many times building has changed purposes. Four times how many things was it you ask it had four different purposes through it whole life not really only two it was a church and a Panthéon. This is the place were every famous French hero lies.

PALACE OF VERSAILLES

Page 12: Curators exhibit module 6

PALACE OF VERSAILLES This palace was a place of the signing of

one famous signing in means of treaties. That signing is called the Treaty of Versailles. Which ended WW1 for ever. It is full of beautiful ceiling paintings and chandelles. It is a huge tourist ground and holds many events during the summer. It has one beautiful garden ground that is very popular among the visitors. This may sometimes just look like a tourist attraction or is just there to make money but is more then that it is history that is still around today for all of us to visit.

CHÂTEAU CHANTILLY

Page 14: Curators exhibit module 6

CHÂTEAU CHANTILLY The name is James. James Bonds you may know

this catch phrase from his movies but you may not know is that the Château Chantilly is in one. But you don’t have to see the movie to see this building it is very real and it is in France. It is known not just for the movie but it does help its case. It is a living museum but there is more then that it is more known for its horses and stables. The real neat fact is that this building my not look like it was built around the French revolution but it was. It was unluckily almost destroyed it was used as a prison. It had been fully restored to it 17th century feel during the 19th century.
