A drug thought to cure cancer was invented

Brian Druker was the man who invented this drug

Bud Romine was close to death

Bud was given three years to live

He tried the drug, Gleevec

Within 17 days, Bud was back to perfect health

Mostly everyone else who tried it who had Chronic Myeloid Leukemia was cured

Gleevec fixes the damaged genes that cause the cancer

Scientists need to find all the damaged genes

Cancer is caused by more than one damaged gene
