‘Curiosity likes a Child:

The Key Quality for being the Great Coach’

Curiosity is the most critical quality of becoming a great coach. Curiosity

likes a Child. To be completely curious, a person needs to let go of their

knowledge, experience, and paradigms for judging things. There is only an

emptiness of mind to be a powerful source of using curiosity for learning

from others, life and what has happened around us. The persons without

judging and always being a learner are very attractive persons. People

always want to be close to them. Who would not to? We are in the world

of judging that hurts other people, instead of trying to understand and be

empathy.

As a Coach, he/she needs to understand a Coachee with no conditions. A

Coach needs to be curious with pure heart to learn to understand what a

Coachee is thinking, feeling, and visualizing. The questions to be asked

during coaching sessions will be based on this pure curiosity. And the

deeper a Coach is curious, the deeper a Coachee will be able to see the real

issue, learn, and find the ways to handle or to solve it.

To develop curiosity inside you, begin with thinking about yourself when

you were a child. You were curious and asked a lot of questions to people

or to yourself. Some people might say 'no' I never asked questions as

people just told me what to do. So, I stopped asking questions since I was

a child. Yes, you are right. When I was a child, people told me what to do

too, but believe me a child in you never die, he/she is still in you. He/she is

just sleeping as the result of socialization process while we grow with the

ego instead. So, it's time to wake them up and keep them alive for the rest

of your life. Trust me. If I can do it, you can do it too. Apart from being a

Great Coach, you will become happier and attractive person also.
