Parents………………

Without you, teachers would not have a job. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your child.

Please get involved with your child’s EHS experience.

Research has proven that when parents and teachers work together, everyone benefits: students tend to earn higher grades, perform better on tests, attend school more regularly, have better behavior, and show more positive attitudes toward themselves and toward school.

What are Honor’s Classes?

Fostering independent learningMore rigorous and in depth learningImplementation of differentiation strategies at

different levels of complexity and with different amounts of teacher support.

Communicative activities focus on the same topics as in on-level Spanish class, but completion requires different levels of sophistication and a higher and more challenging level of linguistic performance and competence.

What the flip is a flipped classroom?

The flipped classroom constitutes a role change for instructors who give up their front-of-the-class position in favor of a more collaborative and cooperative contribution to the teaching process. There is also a change in the role of students who are used to being passive participants in the education process, where instruction is served to them. The flipped model puts more of the responsibility for learning on the shoulders of students and also provides differentiation for those students.-Bobby Blount Assistant Superintendent of Accountability,Technology and Strategic Planning
