Where will the fundraising money go?● Last year we donated $2,000 to a matching grant to supply

our students with the new Gaga Pit for recess and gym time.● This year we will be working with the staff to supply a new

Roadrunner mascot uniform and other ongoing school improvements.

● Teachers receive $100.00 reimbursement for classroom and student supplies as they turn in receipts for purchases made throughout the school year.

● We also support the school’s student council, 5th grade graduation, PBIS Celebrations, and provide Staff Appreciation throughout the year.

Where are we going?By June 2019, Rocky River Elementary students will increase overall math achievement from 40.8% student proficiency to 56% student proficiency as measured by the North Carolina End of Grade Math Test. By June 2019, the percentage of 4th -5th grade students who meet or exceed expected growth in math will increase each year as measured by EVAAS.

By June 2020 we will systematically strengthen student social emotional development and continued positive behavior implementation and supports throughout all aspects of the school community as measured by our office disciplinary referrals (ODRs) and Student Satisfaction Surveys.

By June 2019, Rocky River Elementary students will increase overall reading achievement from 43.3% to 59%, as measured by the North Carolina End of Grade Test. By June 2019, the percentage of K-5 grade students who meet or exceed expected growth in reading will increase each year as measured by EVAAS.

Two-Way Communication● Best Practice:

● School Wide Communication Day – Tuesdays (Make sure to check your child’s folder daily – school wide communications will come home on Tuesday’s)

● Be sure to let us know when you have a concern so that we can take the opportunity to clear up any misunderstandings or miscommunications.
