Responsible for evaluation screening of injuries at the high schools covered by the athletic training outreach program in the Shawnee Mission School District Responsible for athletic training coverage at Blue Valley Northwest High School, Overland Park, KS

PROGRAM DIRECTOR IN ATHLETIC TRAINING AND INSTRUCTOR IN THE DEPARTMENT OF KINESIOLOGY AT KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY (1989-93)

Program Director for an NATA approved undergraduate athletic training curriculum program that consisted of three NATA certified athletic trainers, two certified graduate students, three physicians and 18 student athletic trainers.

Primary work responsibilities were to direct and coordinate clinical and academic components for the student trainers in an NATA approved undergraduate curriculum program. Supervised and advised student trainers' practical and clinical work experience in all three training rooms. Responsible for recruitment and selection of student trainers. Formulated a Student Trainer Handbook for use with the observational and regular status students. Supervised and participated in the treatment and rehabilitation of injured athletes using various modalities and exercise techniques. Completion and updating of forms yearly for the Professional Education Committee of the NATA

Instructor in the Department of Kinesiology with the responsibility for the Athletic Training emphasis and teaching of the following classes: Prevention & Recognition of Athletic Injuries, Evaluation and Management of Athletic Injuries, Therapeutic Modalities in Athletic Training, Rehabilitation and Conditioning for Athletic Injuries, and Seminar in Issues & Administration of Athletic Training Programs.

Designed curriculum for all of the athletic training classes listed above which included course outlines, student projects, class assignments and evaluation procedures. Developed an Instructional Handbook for Seminar in Administration of Athletic Training Programs. ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER IN THE DIVISION OF INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS AND INSTRUCTOR IN THE SCHOOL OF HEALTH, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND RECREATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA (1985-89)

Assistant Athletic Trainer involved in a sports medicine team consisting of two physicians, three NATA certified athletic trainers and 20 student athletic trainers. Coverage and supervision provided for 19 NCAA Division I sport teams with 500+ student-athletes.

Primary work responsibilities were with the women's volleyball, basketball and softball in the Gateway Athletic Conference. Assisted in a co-educational facility with the responsibility for football, basketball (men's and women's), cross-country and track (men's and women's), baseball and softball.
