Ms van Niekerk has more than 30 years experience in hydrology. She specializes in data management, hydrological modelling studies, water resources system analyses and ecological reserve studies. Her career as Hydrologist began in 1984 as Hydrologist in the Directorate Hydrology of the South African Department of Water Affairs and Forestry (DWAF). After a career of 20 years with DWAF, she joined BKS (now AECOM) as Chief Hydrologist in the Water Resources Department.
