Founder of “Atlanta Neighborhood Deputies Program,” a citizen-driven city-wide code enforcement effort that has received national attention

Launched and completed Redevelopment Plan for Metropolitan Parkway (formerly Stewart Avenue) Launched Redevelopment Plan for Jonesboro Road corridor Founder of Atlanta Cooperative Development Corporation – Authored legislation that created entity to plan, develop, and sponsor cooperatively owned housing, businesses, and credit unions. Helped to raise $7.5 million to rehab and add new technology center for 200-unit low-income apartment complex. Founder of Metropolitan Neighborhood Development Corporation (MNDC) to provide oversight for the implementation of the redevelopment plan for Metropolitan Parkway. Major activities included business development, recruitment and retention, launch of a business association, streetscape beautification project, community newsletter, and drug and prostitution reduction program.

PERSONAL: Born in Brookgreen Gardens (Georgetown County), South Carolina; 7th of 8 children of

Beatrice and Charlie Bromell (both deceased) of Plantersville, South Carolina; married 35 years to Soji Tinubu, civil engineer with four adult children and 1 grandson.
