AWARDS AND HONORS: 2004 – Departmental nominee for the Montague Center for Teaching Excellence Scholar Award 2005 - Departmental nominee for the Montague Center for Teaching Excellence Scholar Award 2005 – Master Teacher Panel – Teaching Excellence Incentive Grant TEACHING EXPERIENCE: A 33 % teaching effort that encompassed all aspects of poultry health with emphasis on avian virological diseases. Undergraduate, graduate and professional students are taught in both the classroom and laboratory setting for the below listed curriculum. Undergraduate teaching includes VTPB 334 – Poultry Disease (course coordinator), POSC 201 General Avian Science (course coordinator), POSC 291 - Poultry Science Sophomore Seminars (guest lecturers) and POSC 202 Avian Science Laboratory (guest lecturer). Veterinary professional students are taught aspects of poultry health and disease in a second year clinical correlates class VMID 921 and a 3rd year scheduled VMID 985 didactic Poultry Disease elective as well as guest lectures for 1st year CVM Microbiology students and a 3rd year didactic Emerging Disease elective.
