in criminology, law enforcement, management studies programs, mass media and popular culture. Multiple sources, with emphasis on textual analysis.

1999-2003 Research on a dialogical approach to social problems, with emphasis on the

writings of Mikhail Bakhtin and George Herbert Mead. 1996-98 Research on early Russian writings of Pitirim A. Sorokin, leading to several

translations. 1994-95 Textual research on social constructions of "the Japanese economic threat to the

U.S." Data were drawn from an array of sources, including government reports, national newspaper stories, popular culture (novels, films), and academic studies.
