Prior joining SAI, I was responsible for spearheading the internal audit department of one of

the Statutory Bodies in Malaysia as well as performing advisory roles for its subsidiaries. I was

engaged in assessing the business risk and evaluating the soundness of internal control

embedded in the Entity’s operation via financial management audit and performance audit.

I was also engaged in one of the Big 4 audit firm which my responsibility were to perform

Attestation Audit and Audit Upon Procedures (AUP) for multi-national companies in myriad

industries namely financial services, fabrication of oil & gas equipment, retailing,

manufacturing and aircraft turbines maintenance industry.

In my SAI, I am responsible for heading a unit to perform financial statements audit for

pension fund entity with fund size of RM140 billion as well as performing compliance audit on

other government agencies and statutory bodies. Aside from this I am also responsible to

review the work done by external auditors appointed by SAI to audit the financial statements

of related Statutory Bodies.
