5) GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS
Ideally, I am seeking a position as manager of a tourism orientated business or as a
researcher as a tertiary institution. I am good at communicating information to individuals,
especially information pertaining to tourism. I want to use my passion for all the aspects of
the field of tourism to create a sense of enthusiasm for it by other parties. I am also able
to travel to any destination at a moment’s notice. My aspirations are to one day make a
difference in the tourism industry and to be part of a variety of tourism related
organisations in order to make a change in South Africa’s tourism industry by means of
education and research. I also strongly feel that there is a need for young researchers and
educators in South Africa, thus making my making my work important.
