Quality Assurance and Audit activity:

Audits form a critical part of clinical governance and are essential to demonstrate and assure the quality

of clinical and surgical practice. I have initiated or actively participated in the following audits between

the years 2003-2011:

Largest audit of eye emergencies (n=71,315 ) presenting at Bristol Eye Hospital (2011)

Largest single Trust audit of intraoperative complications in over 50,000 cataract operations at

Moorfields between 2003-2010 (2011)

No vitrectomies in over 1000 consecutive cataract operations. A personal series. (2008-2010)
