Research Activity
The Research activity in my lab focuses on Morphogenesis and Tissue Culture studies
particularly on various aspects of invitro regeneration/ organogenesis and micropropagation
of some economically important and medicinal plants of the State with particular reference to
Valley. Amongst the economically important plants, the work on the plants of Horticultural
importance to the region forms the main thrust area of research. In addition work is also
undertaken on gene transformation, antimicrobial and antibacterial activities, Phtyochemical
analysis of medicinal plants, Endophytic fungi and mushrooms. Some of the progress
achieved so far and current research undertaken in various groups is enlisted below:
