Khidmat perundingan/nasihat teknikal telah diberikan kepada lebih daripada 5,500 orang termasuk usahawan baru / lama, pelajar-pelajar universiti / UiTM (UTM), UPM, KUiTHO USM, UMS dan orang awam (Semenjak daripada tahun 1985 hingga sekarang).

More than 45 seminar and dialogues has been conducted and helda to the publics and universities students on various aspect in the potential, processing and utilization of non-wood forest products resources.
4. Exhibitions. More than 50 exhibition has been held in promoting the uses of forest and non-wood forest as the industrial resources and the role of FRIM as the leading technical agency in the development of forest-based industry.

2. Kes kajian mengujudkan kilang perabut rotan. Kajian ini dijalankan bagi Syarikat Grand Horizon Sdn. Bhd bagi pengeluaran perabut rotan untuk ekspot. Beroperasi di Merlimau, Melaka (1994).
3. Kes kajian kemungkinan mengujudkan bengkel buluh lidi sate. Kajian ini dijalankan bagi Projek Industri Kecil Kampung di Bagan Dato’ dan Tapah, Perak (1993).
