Based on the scientific publications during the period 1997 – 2011, recognized as High
Performance ERIM researcher for the years, 2001 - 2010
ERIM Award for Impact on Management Practice 2003 (with H.W. Volberda), for the very
relevant research on Strategic Renewal in the Financial Services Sector, assessed by a
Committee consisting of Board members of large multinational companies.
In 2003, the ERIM Strategy Research Program in which the strategy research was coordinated
by prof. F.A.J. Van Den Bosch and prof. H.W. Volberda, was ranked number one in The
Netherlands and in Europe in the period 1999 – 2001 in a Report by Leyden University on
world-wide research in Management. The ranking is based on both output and impact of
papers in leading scientific journals in the Strategy field.
In 2002 the Research Program of the Department was evaluated by the VSNU Review
Committee for the period 1995 - 2000. This Program, coordinated by prof. F.A.J. Van Den
Bosch and prof. H.W. Volberda was among the top two best evaluated programmes in Strategy
in The Netherlands.
