Experience Summary/ Objectives 26 Years of Mechanical/ NDT experience seeking long-term employment within my capacity, overseas. To further enhance my career, would like to go into the training aspects within Lifting Equipment and NDT and to gain qualifications as a trainer/assessor. February 2016 to March 2016 KTL Offshore (ME), Dubai Technical Services Manager The Technical Services and Offshore Development Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for all Technical Services activities, including operational planning, utilization of available resources and manpower and setting goals and objectives to meet company short term and long term goals.

I was also responsible for updating the database, generating reports, updating location maps, generating and distributing defect reports and compiling the final report. October 2013 to October 2015 Axess Offshore Pte. Ltd, Singapore Project Manager/Inspection Engineer Responsible, within a team, for building up Axess Offshore Pte Ltd with high skilled engineers, systems and procedures so we deliver the same high quality in the Singapore (and Asian) markets as we do in our other entities in Norway and overseas. I will help to develop procedures, HSE/ QA, client contact, technical support towards internal and external clients, managing and follow up of clients and internal recourses in all projects including: • Inspection of cranes, winches, loose and fixed lifting and drilling equipment • HP/LP pipe inspection programs • DROPS inspections • All work performed with RAT (Rope access techniques) • Arrange quotes and submit to client/Invoicing of final bill upon completion of work • QA of all reports prior to submitting to client • Review of company lifting plans for equipment as well as review of project specific risk assessments/JRA I was also responsible for carrying out lifting gear surveys and testing work onboard various offshore drilling vessels (Ocean Rig Skyros, West Aquarius, ENSCO DS9 and Polar Pioneer) worldwide (Singapore, South Korea, Canada, Angola and Norway). These surveys were carried out to LOLER SI2307, NORSOK R002, CAPP regulations and in compliance with DNV rules and ABS rules. All lifting equipment was subjected to a test/examination to applicable EN and ASME standards. Reference was also made to DNV standards for equipment pertaining to drilling operations and subsea operations. August 2013 to October 2013 Spectrol Group (Acquired SNC Lavalin), Canada Supervisor Inspection Engineer/Lifting Gear Engineer Carried out Hoisting and Lifting Survey onboard the MODU West Aquarius after the vessel had arrived in Canadian waters. As I was familiar with the vessel, Seadrill requested that I come over to carry out the survey. Survey was carried out as per the following regulations: LOLER and CAPP, with BS, BSEN and ASME standards being referenced. The following is items that were either examined/function tested or load tested during the survey:

My primary duty was to carry out hoisting and lifting gear surveys offshore and at various shipyards worldwide. NDT using ECI was carried out on lifeboat davits, deck cranes, pipe handler cranes, life raft davits and structural welds on overhead gantry cranes.

Depending on whom the client was these surveys were carried out six monthly or a yearly basis with LOLER regulations being used and BS, BSEN, EN or ASME standards being referenced. As well as this, class regulations (DNV, ABS, NKK, Lloyds, and RINA) were also referenced. During my time with Core, I also supervised and carried out 5 yearly class surveys with DNV and ABS. These surveys asked for NDT to be carried out at areas requested by the class surveyor. Depending on the type of vessel, these inspections would either be NDT using MPI, ECI or UT or a Close visual examination (CVI) with a photographic report. During these surveys, Load testing would be carried out on the following items:

Pedestal deck cranes (1.25 x SWL at various radii main hoist , 1.25 x SWL on whip line)

Lifeboat davit test ( 2.2 x SWL on davit, 1.5 x SWL on winch brake (static) 1.25 x SWL on winch brake (dynamic) and 1.1 x SWL on quick release system

As well as lifting gear surveys, have also carried out wall thickness gauging on high pressure pipe work, hull surveys as part of ABS classification and on high pressure vessels. During my employment, have also carried out UWILD inspections whilst a vessel is in dock and offshore, supervising 24 people and coordinating both top side and underwater operations. January 2002 to December 2003 Core Technical Services, Aberdeen and Singapore Project Coordinator/Supervisor/ Lifting Gear Engineer/NDT Technician. February 2000 to December 2001 Caledonia Lifting and Certification Services, Aberdeen LOLER/NDT Technician, Lifting Equipment Engineer. Duties included the following:

Dismantle, clean and inspect the mechanical components of various lifting appliances as well as the external casing or housing, hooks and load pins. Once inspected and parts changed as required, item was reassembled and sent for load.

Dismantle, clean and inspect the various components of snatch blocks, Once inspected and parts changed as required, item was reassembled and sent for load test.

Inspect various items of loose lifting accessories (Wire rope slings, shackles, eyebolts, etc.)

Load test lifting appliances that had been stripped down and repaired. As well as this, also carried out hoisting and lifting surveys onboard Shell UK, Total E & P, British Gas and Atlantic Drilling Platforms and MODUs in the North Sea. Items inspected were the following:

During the course of my employment, also carried out load testing and NDT on various structural appliances such as the following:

Newly installed runway beams (Complete with design drawings and live weights)

20 Tonne winch in the cellar deck of the Gannet platform (Shell UK) for installing a new section of caisson in the wellhead area

A newly fabricated frame that was used to install a slug catcher tank on the production platform of Total E &P platform North Alwyn B (NAB) in the North Sea.

The above projects were part of engineering works being carried out by Shell UK and Total E & P during the course of operations, with design drawings and complete technical file being available to me for verification. January 1998 to February 2000 Lloyds British Testing Company, Aberdeen LOLER/NDT Technician, Lifting Equipment Engineer. Duties included the following:

Carry out load testing of lifting appliances at clients yard both locally and nationwide.

Carry out SI 1019/SI2307 Hoisting and Lifting Gear surveys offshore on Shell and Total E & P installations in the North Sea and for Noble Drilling in Venezuela. Items Examined were the following:

Also assisted in the removal and installation of overhead crane wires as well as assisting the overhead crane department in the installation and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes at various workshops locally and nationwide.

Removal and installation of lifeboat davit fall wires on the Kittiwake Alpha platform for Shell UK

April 1996 to January 1998 Grampian Test and Certification Ltd, Aberdeen LOLER/NDT Technician, Lifting Equipment Engineer. During my employment with Grampian Test and Certification, was responsible for two permanent site contracts with Offshore Rentals and Premier Oilfield Services. Duties included inspecting various Cargo Carrying Units and their slings for offshore purposes. I also checked them prior to being sent offshore through either Shell UK or Total E & P logistics base. I was also responsible for setting up lifting gear registers for their lifting appliances and for carrying out periodic inspections of their overhead cranes, swing jibs and loose lifting gear and appliances. As well as this, was also working from time to time at Grampian Test & Certifications yard carrying out load tests on Various Cargo Carrying Units to BS 7072 and to DNV 2.7-1. Although I never went offshore, would be sent down to vessels at quayside to do load tests on the following equipment:

Fast Rescue Craft Davits. February 1995 to April 1996 Aberdeen Wire and Lifting Services, Aberdeen Test Engineer/ NDT Technician

Duties included the proof load testing and Magnetic Particle Inspection of Cargo Carrying Units for Shell UK. During this phase, was also responsible for the examination and documentation of the Shell UK Altens bases and Torry Base lifting gear registers.
