February 2004

SAP SD Consultant with Trenstar UK (formally KTP) / Draeger.

Responsibilities:

I completed SD picking and Idoc interface to an external RF system.

June 2003 – January 2004

SAP WM Consultant with IBM Global Services in Israel

Responsibilities:

I completed a full cycle implementation of SAP v4.6d (VMS) WM and MM-IM modules. After investigation of customer requirements I set up a SAP warehouse utilising id points, wave picking, inbound delivery handling units and SAPConsole Radio Frequency (RF).

The customer was an importer of automotive spare parts and had a business situation where extremely large deliveries to the main warehouse were received that could take several days to process. However contained within these deliveries were rush orders that could not wait. I designed a WM system where upon receipt of the delivery firstly the number of cases were checked and then immediately logically post goods receipted onto id point carts (bins). At this point any rush orders could be picked directly from the inbound packing cases, before normal putaway operations to the warehouse bins.

For outbound delivery picking the customer required the picking to be performed in an efficient walking order around the warehouse, so I used SD wave picking. For internal movements between storage locations within the same plant, such as bonded warehouses and garages, I used MM two step stock transfers to be able to monitor the stock in transit. For the other garages I specified and set up MM-IM stock control.

April 2003 – May 2003

SAP WM Consultant with KTP / ROC

Responsibilities:

I was back with KTP (see below) to perform an onsite customisation of their WM 4.6c SAPConsole template, for Prima Fruit. This involved setting up a radio frequency (RF) terminal menu structure, verification structures for the bins, storage units and materials, plus appropriate transfer order queues to ensure that end users received their correct work.

January 2003 – April 2003

SAP LES (WM) Consultant with Black & Decker

Responsibilities:

Black & Decker require a FMCG warehouse installation in the UK as part of their global rollout of SAP v4.6c. After performing GAP analysis of the warehouse I proposed using Wave Picking by Shipment using delivery grouping. For automated packing within Handling Unit Management I specified the requirements for the PACKMODI user exits. The warehouse contains a fully automated warehouse control system, which required interfaces to SAP to be designed. I configured the warehouse structure and output requirements. I redesigned the inbound delivery processing being used to cater for the same material types being managed in both IM and WM managed storage locations throughout the world. I also designed a warehouse managing several different storage locations simultaneously. I specified the warehouse output requirements.

September 2002 – December 2002

SAP WM Consultant with KTP

Responsibilities:

KTP were providing the barcode solution to a SAP consultancy implementing a SAP 4.6d WM/QM/SD template system for fresh fruit suppliers. I was asked to specify, prototype, train developers and help produce a SAP RF Console barcode solution. I advised that Storage Unit Management (SUM) be used in the warehouse (the client did not wish to use Handling Unit Management – HUM) and inbound / outbound deliveries.

Particular emphasis needed to be placed on the quality of the produce, as obviously being fruit this could change very quickly. New batches would need to be split and resent elsewhere if the quality of the fruit deteriorated. This added an extra layer of complexity to the inbound / outbound deliveries and warehouse movements. Following usage decisions in the QM module producing posting changes, transfer orders would be created and subsequently confirmed using SAPConsole.

I was subsequently asked to develop a picking list, using ABAP and SAPScript that both printed and used EDI (IDocs) for another client of KTP’s.

April 2002 – July 2002

SAP WM Consultant with VWR International in Belgium & Germany

Responsibilities:

VWR were centralising three separate v3 SAP systems into a centralised v4 system. They required assistance with a WM SAP4.6c upgrade in Germany and needed me to replace a permanent member of staff in the project.

My work consisted mainly of WM customising, linking with the rest of the Logistics Execution System (SD & MM), but included functional & technical specifications, training, support and a little ABAP user exit work. My role included the complete lifecycle upgrade of a warehouse in Essen, Germany. I needed to upgrade the interface to an external warehouse management system, which controlled conveyors and pallet movements.

I had to prepare the uploading of all warehouse data from the old system to the new, for several warehouses, checking data integrity afterwards. I needed to find a solution for them to carry over the Inventory data from the old system to the new, to ensure they did not have to perform inventory recounts.

November 2001 – February 2002

SAP MM/WM/SD Systems Analyst with Cadbury Schweppes PLC.

Responsibilities:

The work was split between the analysis and development of new functionality along with second level support of existing SAP v3.1I to 4.0b, running with the v4.6d SAPGUI, for Europe and Africa.

I worked as part of a team, providing solutions for Europe and Africa. The work varied from the creation and debugging of ABAP reports and SAPscript layout sets, various functional and configuration issues through to the usage of CATT for master data loads during the migration and upgrade of SAP.

August 2001 – October 2001

SAP WM Consultant with Danfoss A/S

Responsibilities:

Preparation of a SAP R/3 v4.6c WM prototype for Danfoss A/S in Denmark.

Page 12: CURRICULUM VITAE - Welcome to Enterprise Data · Web viewSAP ABAP Workbench SAP List Processing SAP Dialog Transaction SAP Batch Interfaces SAP Enhancements and Modifications SAP Data

Danfoss were constructing an automatically controlled decentralised warehousing system. They required the ability, with Handling Unit Measurement, to automatically consolidate shipments and deliveries, nesting packed parcel handling units into shipping handling units, using the built in SAP RF Console functionality. Working with the LES (WM and SD) modules I had to devise and prototype the functionality, specifying the user exit and configuration requirements.

June – July 2001

SAP Logistics Business Analyst for CSC at BNFL

Responsibilities:

Preparation of a SAP R/3 v4.6c inventory management functional specification, working for CSC at BNFL.

Using the MM/IM & WM modules, whilst liaising with managers and users from BNFL and CSC, I produced a functional specification to automatically schedule, in a user predefined manner, the handling and reporting of the inventory management of several hundred thousand different spare parts across different buildings in the warehouse, using RF barcodes.

July 2000 – May 2001

SAP Logistics & Manufacturing Systems Analyst / Support for Hewlett Packard (Manufacturing) Ltd. Ireland

Responsibilities:

Back with HP in Ireland again (see below), this time working with a team with myself providing systems analysis, configuration and second line support for logistics (MM/WM/RF Barcoding/QM) and manufacturing (PP with Repetitive Manufacturing) plus some user/printer/IDoc Basis administration and ABAP/SAPscript work.

I was involved in the full life cycle of a large project including migrating from separate versions of SAP 3.1h in Ireland and Puerto Rico to an 1800 user centralised 4.6b system (with 4.6d SAPGUI) with also a new implementation of the SD module. The work involved analysis, configuration, documentation, training, debugging and support for the new system.

I performed various projects such as the creation of new storage types and supporting strategies for heavy goods within the warehouse. This involved leasing with warehouse managers and staff to produce specifications and then to perform the required SAP configuration followed by testing.

I headed the user support operations in Ireland for the go live week. The project was successfully delivered on time, to scope and within budget.

May 2000 – July 2000

SAP Logistics Systems Analyst for PriceWaterhouseCoopers working at Tetra Pak in Sweden

Responsibilities:

My role was working with a team of permanent staff to prepare a technical analysis and specification of the warehouse operations as Tetra Pak required a fully automated warehouse system interfaced with the SAP MM, SD and QM modules. This work involved liaising with Tetra Pak warehouse managers, users, technical staff and prospective external suppliers. I ensured that the user requirements were realistic and made regular reports to PriceWaterHouseCoopers. The options I presented included full use of the WM module, lean WM with semi-external control and direct external control interfacing to the MM module, all using RF barcoding.

June 1999 – December 1999

SAP Logistics Systems Analyst for Hewlett Packard (Manufacturing) Ltd. Ireland

Responsibilities:

Hewlett Packard is running FMCG 7 by 24 high volume ink jet printer cartridge production lines with a JIT warehousing complex. I was brought in for 6 months to work in a team and bridge a gap caused by an internal staff transfer. My objective was to support and improve the warehouse and production operations running the SAP 3.1h MM module, particularly IM & WM with QM. Each day and as required I would liase with staff to diagnose and resolve any problems encountered. Initially I had to fully investigate and document the systems, to enable others to understand. This took three to four months as I uncovered several problems with the set up, which required resolution and configuration.

A major task of mine involved building relationships with third party suppliers, particularly the Wireless RF Warehouse suppliers, Teklogix. Hewlett Packard was having major problems with the performance and robustness of the system. I liased with the warehouse staff and Teklogix from the UK and Canada in order to diagnose and resolve problems with the TWW RF application.

Whilst leasing with Business Process Analysts, I configured and integrated the SAP 3.1h MM-WM ALE, including IDocs, to improve efficiency.

I was also responsible for warehouse and production line printer configuration, including bar-coding and SAPLPD. I performed ABAP code debugging and a little SapScript Layout Set work and also some Workflow configuration and LIS reporting. I set up a fax

Page 14: CURRICULUM VITAE - Welcome to Enterprise Data · Web viewSAP ABAP Workbench SAP List Processing SAP Dialog Transaction SAP Batch Interfaces SAP Enhancements and Modifications SAP Data

server and configured the ALE for fax communications. I performed a little Basis work due to my knowledge of the Informix database being used.

March 1999 - April 1999

Business Analyst working for SAP at Glaxo Wellcome.

Responsibilities:

Compliance and Validation to Food & Drugs Authority Class A standards.

This involved analysis, testing and documentation of a SAP 4.0b system to extremely high pharmaceutical standards. I analysed and tested mainly the MM module configuration with some SD and a little QM, FI & CO. I was brought in on a short-term basis to complete a critical path portion of the project by the end of April.

February 1998 - January 1999

Contract Informix New Era / SAP Analyst Programmer with UCB Films PLC.

Responsibilities:

I was involved in the full implementation lifecycle of a SAP R/3 system. This interfaced with an Informix NewEra production line control system. The major issue was the fact that the production line worked continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and could only be interrupted for a matter of minutes at a time. I was asked to rewrite all the existing production interfaces to be compatible with the SAP system.

I worked with a team of SAP implementation consultants, primarily SD and MM, analysing and configuring the SAP system. I also worked with a team of Informix consultants. I rewrote the Informix interfaces as Unix shell scripts, periodically producing flat form files. Working with the team of ABAP programmers, batch input processing with BDC sessions was used to read the data into the SAP system.
