years)

AREA OF CONCERNFunction of the machine is for the glazing process with work environment of the machine being hot and dusty. The lubricant product used all this time was a special product, “O 613” and replacement interval for the product was 1400 hours, and so far the machine was working at a temperature of 100°C.In fact, it was expected that the lubricant consumption period should have been even longer because the price alone was already quite high, while the temperature of the machine was expected to drop from 100°C, without much power being wasted ineffectually in the form of heat, but so far there had been no better means to overcome the problem.

LE SOLUTIONMaintenance Chief Sugimanto consulted LE Representative, Rudy Setiawan who recommended the use of product LE 6222 Monolec Air Compressor Oil for the Sullair  Machine and LE 6202 Monolec Air Compressor  Oil   for  Atlas Copco Machine mentioned above,  because Monolec Air  Compressor  Oil contains an additive exclusively belonging to LE that is the LE’s wear reducing exclusively belonging to LE , that is the LE’s wear reducing additive Monolec that works in a very satisfactory manner in LE lubricants to reduce friction, heat & wear. The LE Monolec Air Compressor Oil product is a combined result of LE products working synergistically as an excellent energy saving “package” in reducing the use of electrical energy after application to the compressor machines.

CUSTOMER  COST  SAVINGSIn December 1994, LE Monolec Air Compressor Oil 6222 was put into the Sullair Compressor machine to replace the product used previously. For the time being, LE Monolec Air Compressor Oil 6202 is used in the Atlas Copco Compressor Machine.The results achieved are as follows :

1. After having been used for 3.000 hours, it turns out that LE Monolec Air Compressor Oil in each compressor has no need for the replacement. This is more than 2 times the consumption period with the previous lubricant.

2. The Machine Operating Temperatures has dropped considerably to +/­ 60°C, which means 40% lower than the previous temperature. This shows that the machine has been working with less strain and the energy wasted in the form of heat has been also much reduced, therefore the use of electrical energy has been also much decreasing/ saved.

3. As friction has been considerably reduced, the sound of the machine has become softer.4. The price of LE Monolec Air Compressor Lubricant is less expensive than the price of lubricant 

previously used.
