Cutting Edge Leeds were delighted to announce their annual conference for 2018 – Global Surgery: Redefining Boundaries – in support of MSF and SyriaRelief.
The conference provided delegates with an understanding of working in international healthcare through a series of talks delivered by highly acclaimed surgeons working at the forefront of this exciting field.
The day also involved a number of thought-provokingplenary sessions which covered topics such as international health, global surgery, and sustainability and challenges faced by the developing world.
Delegates had the opportunity to participate in surgical skills workshops including basic and advanced suturing, laparoscopic skills, chest drain insertion, and incision and drainage of abscess. There was also a workshop covering how to develop a surgical CV.
