Cutting of OMR sheets

Designing, printing, scanning and reading OMR sheets have become quite simple with the

introduction of OMR software. Special equipment, tools and paper are no longer required today.

OMR sheets can be created in no time and without spending too much money. However, it is a

technical document and hence one has to take care of certain things like the size of the sheet. Here

are some rules that you should know about cutting of OMR sheets.

The sheets when scanned should fit the scanner bracket. Even a slight tilting or swaying of the sheet

can cause you to receive inaccurate results. Hence, you have to ensure the size of the OMR sheet is

same as the sheet design.

Cut all the OMR sheets in uniform size

Do not cut anywhere near the index points or bubbles

Make sure all the OMR sheets are of the same size

Ensure that there are no cuts or tears on the OMR sheets. Discard such sheets immediately.

Correct printing and scanning processes are extremely crucial for accurate reading and evaluation of

the OMR sheets. Hence, the process of cutting of OMR sheets has to be taken seriously and done

properly. Only then will you receive 100% perfect result.
