2013 Course and training organizer and principal facilitator for NEDWORC members and non-members: how to plan and organize a Food and Nutrition Security baseline or survey (based on the Mozambique SETSAN national food and nutrition security baseline preparation) . Planning, work out ToR, questionnaires, modules for questionnaires, logical indicators, sampling, representativeness, formats, software programmes, staffing, budget etc. Special attention to SWOT’s.

2013 Writing articles about the political and military situation in Mali in Dutch language for www.afrikanieuws.nl and organizing seminars, lectures and interviews etc.

2013 Mozambique, principal consultant to SETSAN for the national baseline study for food and nutrition security 2013: preparative phase. Phase 2 is the field work and I will be involved in phase three: interpretation and writing final report. Also involved in the MDG initiative baseline. N.B. This was achieved with a colleague who is specialist in statistics and sampling.

2012 Mali, writing article on the political crisis and the insecurity in northern Mali: research, interviews and data analysis – political instability, corruption, nepotism and why the state of democracy failed.

2012 Mali, capitalisation and writing the history of the OMAES food and nutrition security programme in the Niafunke cercle (Timbuktu Regions) and lessons learned – 1996 – 2012 (on-going). N.B. The Niafunke cercle is part of the Timbouctou Region that is traditionally a very food insecure area – droughts – also a conflict area in the past – Tuareg rebellion and now days under occupied area by the Islamic fundamentalists who occupy this Region.
