My academic record was noticed and marked ‘high potential’ by the consultancy firm SURE Innovation. They offered me a job. Two extracurricular activities: 9-months daily online training with feedback in sketching (by The Design Sketchbook), and an 8-week company-guided design challenge (10 hours/week) by HEMA. 3rd prize TU/e Innovation Contest. Mar 2019 - Now: UX Designer at Inrupt Start-up developing a platform to make users own their own data (”decentralised data ownership”), founded by the inventor of the web as an alternative to Google & Microsoft. Feb 2019 - Mar 2019: UX Designer (contractor) at Bulb Scale-up, renewable energy provider. Oct 2016 - Jan 2019: Technology Strategy consultant at SURE Innovation Consultancy firm who advises SME’s about their technology strategy. More work experience: Work experience Volunteering position during my gap year. Initiated to set up a UX Design team. Took initiative to develop a first prototype. Worked with the inventor of the web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, and with people from the Blockchain community. Organised a notable design workshop with 16 people across business. Worked here as a part-time job next to my studies. Worked with clients from 8 different industries. Worked on ideation, UX research, feasibility studies, benchmark. Was asked to be part of the team for a very difficult client. Saved the company money by identifying when projects went off-target. I was able to do so, because of the excellent relation with my colleagues. Always worked in interdisciplinary teams with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, computer scientists and business innovators. Supported them, i.a. with explaining AI or privacy.
