The second microarray version (RPMv2) has 59 pathogens and 193 strains and serotypes and exhibited unparalleled sensitivity and specificity comparable to or exceeding polymerase chain reaction technology in a highly multiplexed test (Jun 2004). Responsibilities: EOS executive committee and program oversight and technical formulation roles on the six integrated research projects: advanced diagnostic platforms; bioinformatics; IT; ethical legal and social issues (ELSI); advanced epidemiology, and a real world testbed with recurrent infectious disease outbreaks.
